And FF6's final battle opens with a fight against a demonic figure heavily implied to be Satan himself in a frozen hell! OMG!

Well, after screwing Cid out of his dream, all Shera did from that point on was serve him tea. Naturally, the thing didn't get fixed.

But she didn't fix it while she was in there either!

The rocket is build by Shinra, who trusts Shinra's products anyway?

She's fucking useless. Can't even serve tea right!

I actually don't remember the scene very well. Was she actually trying to fix it? I think she was just trying to prove that it was gonna break. Running diagnostics or some shit.

Diagnostics, I believe, but as she is an actual engineer, I believe it was also her duty to fix the damn problem afterwards. Given time I think she would have done that prior to take off but then again she didn't fucking do it anyway so who knows.

Cid should've let her die imho

this is one of them times you need a good old PIPE to solve the problem ;)

Except she didn't die, she married Cid and evolved into an airship :D

Now where's this goddam TEA? And don't forget the lard. Because lard totally goes in tea.

Shera was no She-Ra.

Shera and Cid got married because a good relationship is built on domestic violence.

Yup, just played through this part and Cid is a verbally abusive trout to Shera before the whole she's willing to kill herself for his dream checking stuff in the engine room idiocy. Definitely taking some of the joy out of playing. I think I will let Cid languish and not level him on purpose to punish the smurfing @$$. :(

She never fixed it because ShinRa cut the funding. She sucks at serving tea because she hates her life, and Cid.

I'm pretty sure no one actually wanted that smurfing tea either. But yeah, she hates her life. *sigh*

Just a heads up, there is a part where you are required to use Cid.

That's hilarious when you have to control him, he runs like he has a stick up his you-know-where :p

Dang it! I guess I will level him a little....

But I won't like it! And I will look for every opportunity in the game to insult/hurt his sorry face.

And the rocket blew up because of the abort Cid called, not because she didn't fix the oxygen tanks. Cid was just like, oxygen, why do I really need that in outer space? Eh, woman thinks is important, must not be. But it is pretty telling that she was already willing to die for his dream at this point. *headdesk*

Anyway, what about Yak's butter in tea? That's what the lard line always makes me think of that from Buffy season 9. *Yak*

Shera should've left the tank alone and let Cid go down with his ship like a self-respecting captain should. You know there wasn't originally an escape pod (capable of harboring four people on a one-man ship!?)

At least Shinra's toilets work.
