That when you make a post, you can hit ctrl+I for italics, ctrl+B for bold, and ctrl+u for underline?

I had no idea until I did it on accident. I didn't think you could do that on the forum; I thought you had to manually click the buttons! :jess:

What sorts of little things have you learned recently?

I recently learnt that I can import obj's into Form 2 and make them into a sound controlled particle system.

I knew this a long time ago. Where have you been, Pike?

Also, time to answer your topic. I haven't learned anything new recently. Sorry.

I recently got a smart phone for the first time, so I have learned how to look poor and rich at the same time.

It could be worse. She might not have known what the dot on the thread icons meant. (http://home.eyesonff.com/general-archive/43740-whats-deal.html) :p

EDIT: Of course I had to find the thread now and link to it.

Shall I fire her? We can vote on this if you guys want.

Yes!

If Pike had typed the above yesterday, she would have had to use her mouse or 16 more keystrokes.

Real forum-rats hardcode their markup.

I just realized I can actually close my own threads.

Is it a new function for everyone nowadays or it had been here for aeons?

EDIT: Wow, I can re-open my thread too!! The new features in the forums nowadays are really convenient!

Oh, is it? You mean Recognized Member has rights different from other normal users? I thought it is just an extra yellow title. What else is there that I can do?

You used to be able to reply by hitting ALT + S, but that hasn't worked for me for a while. :(

I can't believe it took Pike this long to figure that out. Did you know that those same buttons work in Word too, darling?

Now that she's figured it out lets switch the shortcuts on her.

I learned that a tablespoon of pure liquid mint makes the whole pitcher of tea taste like toothpaste.

So how do you become a recognised member? So you are saying that whenever I post, nobody recognises me?

I WANT TO BE NOTICED, GOD DAMN IT!!!!

Jiro

It's easier to become a staff member than a recognised member.

I have deduced that if somebody posts straight after you do, your brief window to edit your post without it leaving an "edited by" notice immediately expires.

Please correct me if I am wrong. In any case I am terrible for going back and making edits to almost every post I make.

Yeah, it was pretty bitchin'. You guys should do something about that and make it work again.
