New play through

I started a new play through a few days ago after a few years of not touching this game. It is just as fun as it was the first time I played it.

A few things have me confused though, but maybe it is just my poor memory.

First, I have encountered Yuffie several times before I have even completed the first Junon mission with Priscilla. I didn't think that was possible.

Second, I acquired Aerith's Level 2 limit break prior to getting her second Level 1 limit break. WTF?

Anyway, I love this game.

its been a few years but I think the second and third within each level become available based on the amount of times you use the previous one. And then the different levels are from leveling up...

someone might be able to correct me though.

She may be available as soon as you encounter your first forest.

The mechanics for getting your first level 2 limit are different from the mechanics used to get your second level 1 limit. One is based purely on the number of times you use the limit, and the other is based purely on the number of enemies that character as killed (though I'm not entirely sure which is which, as it's been so long). It is possible for either to happen before the other.

Use your first limit break 5 or 6 times to gain the second 'level 1' limit.

Have the killer blow against 96 (I think) enemies with that character will get your first level 2 limit break.

Either one can happen before the other.

I'm on a playthrough as well on my Vita. I still love it as much as the first time I played it. Just Reached Cosmo Canyon.

one thing I loved about 7 was when approaching cosmo and the sun set. at the time when the game came out that was spectacular.

Absolutely. The sky turns red then you get those beautifully drawn scenes at Cosmo Canyon.

Oh god, I adores the part where they fire the sister ray at Diamond Weapon. Epic!! :bigsmile:

Also the scene where that Sapphire weapon attacks Juno. :bigsmile:

I'm about done with my playthrough. Just trying to set off the Mystile duplication bug because I think it was a bastard move to only have two in the game.

you can get more than 2 mythril (if that is what you meant)- as I remember from the sleeping guy.

No, he meant Mystile. It's an armor type you get late in the game. It's one of the best armors in the game, and there's a trick in the final dungeon that allows you to get two of everything you find in there.
