I know my nonexistent gif-making skills might not capture it but I crack up every time I watch Cecil stand there like an idiot while Golbez takes forever to grab the crystal.

I never really liked that scene. They could have had something else happen, like Luca or the King screamed because some minions attack in the throne room and Golbez got back up and took the crystal while they were distracted. I think they were trying to do a throwback to some sort of horror movie.

They only interpretation I have that makes sense is that while it was dancing around he was preparing himself to fight a new threat and when it all of a sudden made a dart for the crystal it took him by surprise.

I remember my cousin SCREAMING at the TV to get the crystal before Golbez did when I was a kid. This was a rare time in my life when I didn't even play through FFIV yet. Anyway, I chalk this scene up to one of those weird Japanese things that they do to troll people outside their country.

What is that from? That looks ridiculous. I wish some hand would try to attack me like that just so I could beat it up. What is it going to do to me? It's a hand.

Vampire Hunter D, and that hand will actually consume you so I wouldn't mess with it, it's owner is an even bigger badass. :cool:

Though Exdeath's sliver trick he pulled with Krile might compare...
