Hi guys,

I registered a loooong time ago but have never really been active, for unfathomable reasons. Despite my known dislike of MMOs, I've somehow managed to get myself addicted to FFXIV 1.0. It's really weird. Anyone else playing XIV before servers are shut down for 2.0?

Welcome to EoFF... or I guess should say welcome to EoFF's active posters. :) I also just started playing FFXIV, so I can play for a little while for free until the servers close, and then plan on playing 2.0. There's a number of other EoFFers who are playing as well. You should check out the FFXIV forum and talk to us!

Oh phbbbbt I should probably say what my name is in-game. :derp: I'm Titania Basilikos on Balmung server. Hit me up if you feel like.

As far as I understand, FFXIV 2.0 is designed to be much lighter on the hardware requirements, allowing more people to play on older systems. YMMV of course. I'm also super psyched for 2.0 because it will FINALLY allow server changes so I can play with more friends I know who have somehow been scattered across multiple servers.
