Grand Company Quest Line (Yes, Spoilers)

I am just now flagged up for the final fight in To Kill A Raven. Is it just me, or does this seem to have something of a darker storyline than we were originally lead on the believe in the beginning? Cid's a mass murderer in this game, after all.

Though the whole 'moon crashing into Eorzea' thing has shades of Majora's Mask all over it...

I, for one, CANNOT WAIT for more XIV storyline. I absolutely love world-level events (.hack fan, natch) and wish there were more of them. I'm really excited to see where the story goes in 2.0.

It's darker because the first storyline you embark on (focusing more heavily on the Echo) was abandoned in favor of a Grand Company storyline designed to result in the destruction of the entire world so that they could literally reboot the entire thing in ARR. And most Final Fantasy games, at least the recent ones, usually attempt to have some darker subtext.

Also, regarding Dalamud, it's becoming increasingly clear that, "That's no moon."
