I was just making fun of Michael Stipe earlier.
Banana banana banana banana terracotta banana terrecotta terracotta pie!
Banana banana banana banana terracotta banana terrecotta terracotta pie!
Do we all learn defeat from the whores with bad feet
Beat the meat
Treat the feet
To the sweet, milky seat
Banana banana banana terracotta banana terracotta terracotta pie!
Banana banana banana terracotta banana terrecotta terracotta pie!
Is there a perfect way of holding you baby! Liar!
Vicinity of Obscenity in your eyes!
Terracotta pie Hey!
Terracotta pie Hey!
Terracotta pie Hey!
Terracotta pie!

Frou Frou - Flicks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFlk_XZ8amI)
Lung of love, leaves me breathless
Tongue of fool lap me in enmity
Four walled secret lies among the hessian and
A flicker of the future could of saved the cindered sister
And I'm motioning still
They stand inside me
And moments until
The one I leave
Colorless I kiss her cold forehead
I feel life
Loose it in a minute
And the ones to come feel too far to care
And I'm motioning still
They stand inside me
And moments until
The one I leave
People concertina to my private magic lantern move for me
With the senses all inclusive
In the theater of triggered memories
Motioning still
They stand inside me
And moments until
The one I leave
The one I leave
Moments until
The one I leave
The one I leave
The one I leave
The one I leave
I can't make heads or tails about the lyrics but it's a catchy song.
I just realized that the song in the OP has a glorious music video. All those sexy Civil War uniforms

Hah. I guess all the crap that's sung by the abominations we call pop singers.
Not even I Am The Walrus confuses me as much as some of today's 'hits' do.

Honestly, these lyrics just seem to me like it's poetry set to music.

I watched some interviews with Thom Yorke post-Kid A and he was describing the process of writing lyrics for that album - apparently he wrote up a bunch of lines that captured emotions he was feeling at a time, organized them later into similar piles, and pulled them out of a hat to try and capture a feeling rather than a consistent theme. Which worked astonishingly well in some places (like Idioteque) but also really explains why the title track never really made much sense (but is still fucking beautiful):
I slipped away
I slipped on a little white lie
We got heads on sticks
You got ventriloquists
We got heads on sticks
You got ventriloquists
Standing in the shadows at the end of my bed [x4]
Rats and children follow me out of town
Rats and children follow me out of town

Yeah, except even poems tend to make sense and have some underlying meaning, Imogen Heap is the female equivalent of Beck. :D

Björk's lyrics continues to puzzle me.
Heirloom
I have a recurrent dream
Every time I lose my voice
I swallow little
glowing lights
My mother and son baked for me
During the night
They
do a trapeze walk
Until they're in the sky
Right above my bed
While
I'm asleep
My mother and son pour into me
Warm glowing oil
Into my wide
open throat
I have a recurrent dream
Every time I feel a
hoarseness
I swallow warm glowing lights
My mother and son baked for
me
They make me feel so much better
They make me feel better
We
have a recurrent dream
Everytime we lose our voices
We dream we swallow
little lights
Our mother and sons bake for us
During the night
They
do a little trapeze walk
Until they're in the sky
Right above our
heads
Right above our heads
While we're asleep
My mother and son
pour into us
Warm glowing oil
Into our wide open throats
I have a
recurrent dream...
They make me feel better
They make me feel better

A peacebone got found in the dinosaur wing
I've been jumping all over but my views are slowly shrinking
I was a jugular vein in a juggler's girl
I was supposedly leaking the most interesting colors
While half of my fingers are dipped in the sand
You progress in letters, but you're used to cooking broccoli
The other side of take out is mildew on rice
And an obsession with the past is like a dead fly
Only a few things are related to the "old times"
Then we did believe in magic and we did die
It's not my words that you should follow, it's your insides
You're just an inside
Adjust your insides
You're just an inside
don't even care, best song and music video by them ever
also, fucking Radiohead - Talk Show Host. "I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches." Picnic and then shootout?

I think the ancient dinosaur known as Thesaurus invades the studio of all Mars Volta recordings at least 1,954,382 times a day.
