Ooooh close! 1983!

Simple reasoning, in 1982 (and to a lesser extent 1983) in the UK they introduced the 20p coin and made an absolute SMURFTON of them. Most other coins have moved on, having either changed shape or size or just not having as many made. But this one is everywhere.

I have a 1968 dime. Weird how that date is in here three times so far.

We found one of http://www.forumancientcoins.com/Coins2/59095q00.jpg in a parking lot a while back. We were surprised to learn that the words "scheide münze" mean "distinguish(ed) coin" when put together, but the word "scheide" by itself means vagina. :|
