I just saw a thread where we just spam archer quotes and laugh amongst ourselves (http://home.eyesonff.com/lounge/143608-thread-where-we-just-spam-archer-quotes-laugh-amongst-ourselves.html) in The Lounge, and it took a great deal of self-restraint to prevent me either making bad jokes about The Right Honourable Baron Archer of Weston-super-Mare (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Archer#London_mayoral_candidacy_and_perjury_trial) or nobody's favourite Radio 4 programme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNEawM6vZf4).

I also stopped myself from buying a Kit-Kat at a train station today because I felt I should be good and just wait for my tea.

What have you stopped yourself from doing recently? Do you often restrain yourself from doing things, or do you give in to temptation easily?

Also I realise that by making this thread I've not really restrained myself from making bad jokes about archers, but let's ignore that.

I have no self restraint. None. Nada. I was born without tact or patience. Honest to God i wish i had it sometimes but i end up just spouting whatever is in me mind. I think i might be legally retarded.

Yeah, I have no self-restraint.

With really anything.

I exercise self-restraint from backhanding jackasses every damn day.

Every day I don't bash people's heads in is another day I have shown a remarkable degree of self-restraint.

Similarly, every post I make after Shorty that does not contain bootay.jpg is yet another instance of incredible self-restraint.

i don't get the obsession with posting images of underage sarah!

i just bite my lip all day at work and then express my true feelings when I go out on break at work.

Don't have a whole lot of it but I seem to have enough.

Self-restraint is a Communist plot.

Tried to rastrain myself laughing at this because I am visiting my parent's house (when dad is watching TV, I try to be quiet). I totally failed. He saw what I was laughing at and called me mean.

I never had nothing as a child, and I can deny myself pretty much anything and everything in the world. Candy in the check-out lane? Pass. A cool, single-serving beverage in a refrigerated section? Pass. Frappuccino? I never got a candy bar, much less another four bucks for a single drink. I can wait years to play a new game and thus I am about as hip as a popotamus (http://xkcd.com/606/). It is not even really about willpower; learning that the answer was no to everything conditioned me to not even consider splurging on excesses. You got to bring it to my attention, man, and then I will buy something for you and me.

I work in New York City, so I have to stop myself from doing something everyday. People are so infuriating there.

Dude, I just made a thread for the express purpose of saying "stupid assholes" as many times as humanly possible in EoEO without getting in trouble. I have no restraint.

I have incredible self-restraint in what I say. Much less what I type. Some with what I eat. And none for everything else. lol.
