Stab yourself in the neck until you no longer have a neck.

I have chronic headaches from neck tension, so I have a habit of cracking my neck a lot, which helps some. Also hot showers.

Massage, apply heat, stretch, and when it gets really bad a chiropractic adjustment.

I used to do this but I found over the years that it was only a temporary fix and the pain came back worse so I was better off not doing it :/

Sleep on your back or side, silly. Not your neck.
Sleep on the other side tonight.
Rub rub rub!
Oh, and muscle relaxers.
And xanax and alcohol.
Have someone crack your back! Actually, that's probably bad in the long run, but it helps me a lot. I get a bad crick in my neck each day because of my terrible reading posture at work.

Gently stretch the muscles. I emphasize the gentle because some of my patients assume a stretch would mean pulling on the muscle like there's no tomorrow. You can apply a heating pad to relieve the pain and to loosen the muscles up a bit.

Sleep on your back tonight and try to wake up with a jolt, it should crack back into place.
Man you guys, this crick is still there! I don't know what I did the first night to get it this way xD
