What's the first game you reinstall on a fresh computer reformat?

For me, it's SMAC. Duh.

What about you?

Back when I played XI, that was it. Now I just go down my list of games on Steam and install games I want to play in reverse(maybe? not sure) alphabetical order. I usually look at lists completely before I choose anything. That's why I think reverse alphabetical. If I were to do it now, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, maybe Anno 2070, would be the first.

I'm going to reformat soon-ish. If this is still active, I'll let you know. XD

Whatever I'm into at the moment, honestly. Last time I was playing the heck out of Pirates! so that was what went back on first, for example.

X-Com is always up there though.

It was, for a long time, Master of Orion 2, but stupid Windows 7 can't play it.

So, now it's Mass Effect, followed closely by FFVII.

Well, before Windows 7 I always reinstalled Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy. Granted, the ending was naff, but I did like how different it was from other games. After that, it was then Sim City 4.

Now, Fahrenheit cannot run anymore (Grrr!!) and I've lost my disc for Sim City 4, so now I always reinstall The Sims 3 first, followed by Empire Earth II, if I can be bothered with it.

Whoa there, is this true? Confirmed for never upgrading to Win7.

Terraria, because I've never had a PC that could run anything bigger.

Actually, I've heard you can with DosBox and routing the CD drive through to DosBox, but I haven't tried yet. But Win 7 can't run the Windows version, that much is certain, or was when last I checked.

The most recent game I've reinstalled is Dungeon Keeper (an excellent RTS game from the mid-1990s by the same people who brought us Theme Park and Theme Hospital). If you've not played it yet, you should really do so. It was always the first game I'd reinstall when I was a kid - I remember being really annoyed that Windows XP wouldn't support it.

I don't have any problems with MoO2 on Win7, but I'm using the GoG version, not the CD.

Half-life and mods.

Though with steam it's not as ceremonious as it used to be with CDs. Less of a pain in the ass though.

I feel slightly dirty for forgetting Magic Carpet, but I never played Syndicate. Man, Bullfrog were awesome. I miss the 1990s.
