Fortunately they grow real slowly so maybe only every 3-4 weeks. Fingernails however, are about every there or four days. I absolutely cannot STAND having fingernails of even the slightest length so I keep them as short as I can without pain.

Other than that they pretty much get left to their own devices until they start digging into things or clinging onto socks.

My ex has fast-growing nails but would only clip them when she got a break. Semi-disturbing.

In the past, I've forgotten about them long enough to where one of them dug into the side of another toe and made it bleed just from walking. Even though I keep them trimmed, the nails on my big toe still slice holes into my socks really quickly.
