I went to go see Wicked while it was touring this summer and enjoyed it immensely. As of late, I find myself singing the songs in my head or just plain listening to them. It is pretty smurfing awesome musical.

I think my favourite song is No Good Deed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAyacUBQAVw). It is so heartbreaking. It starts with Elphaba being desperate to save her love, Fiyero, and then just gives up and loses hope. Every time she tries to do good, it just backfires on her, so she just gives up on trying to do good.

Honourable Mention:

"No One Mourns the Wicked" After watching the whole musical and listening to this song again, you get the feeling that G(a)linda's verses are in a much different tones from the chorus. The latter condemns the Wicked Witch, but it seems like Glinda is mourning the recent lost of her friend.
"What's this Feeling?" is also hilarious chirpy song about loathing.
"For Good" is very touching
"Defying Gravity" because it is like awesome
Pretty much every song really.

So what are your thoughts on this novel-turn-Broadway-hit? What's your favourite song? Have you seen it at all?

I love Wicked. It's one of the most awesome musical ever created.

The songs are just so well made and sung. :jess:

I've never seen the musical, but I know it's nothing like the book. :monster:

I smurfing love the musical so god damn much.

If I could, I would see it like 5 more times. I would have loved to see the original cast. I love all the songs but especially For Good, Thank Goodness, and then the Finale.

I prefer the musical to the book.
