Don't you just love stumbling across gems on the internet?
Vaughn Pinpin, AKA 'Hatboy' is a student at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts, and for his latest project, he has combined two very different iconic names.
Allow me to introduce his "Burton x PKMN" series.
In the series, he draws up some of the most popular Pokemon combining his own artistic flair and the disturbingly unique style of Tim Burton.

The characteristically large eyes with tiny pupils are similar to those found in Burton's movies "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "The Corpse Bride"
Hatboy seems to have the balance just right. They aren't over done, they don't have too much of one style, and he puts in enough of his own signature style too.
They are just delightfully creepy to look at.
Hatboy has given these Pokemon a new life (even if they do look...less alive!), and his style is refreshing and exciting to see. The combination of Pokemon and Tim Burton may sound obscure, but it does work.
You can find the full series at Hatboy's tumblr page; Hat Boy (http://hatboy.tumblr.com/tagged/Pokemon)
