Hi everyone,I'm starting a thread about fruits. I love fruits and they are essential part of my diet. Fruits are rich sources of nutrition and vitamin. They contain dietary fibers. Here I found some fruits effective for losing weight.
Damsons
Raspberries
Grapefruit
Rhubarb
Guava
Strawberries

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank fruit for that burning feeling I get in my stomach and for making the best flavoured candies.

Chocolate oranges aren't really fruit, because there's not real orange. :colbert:

Also, chocolate with fruit is an abomination unto God.

Of course not. Most things we discuss here are simply a matter of opinion. The deliciousness of fruit and chocolate is no such thing. :D

Fruit doesn't need chocolate. If it needs to be paired with anything it's whipped cream or creme anglaise. Or just eat it by itself, fruit is god damn delicious just on its own.

Chris will be banned from the forum. :colbert:

To actually answer this: An 8inch stalk of celery contains 6 calories, it isn't the chewing/swallowing what burns the calories but the digestion of the tough cellulose. However when you consider Celery doesn't actually taste great most people serve it with some kind of condiment which then causes the celery to stop being a negative calorie food. When properly prepared, you can add: Cauliflower, Cucumber and Spinach amongst others to this list.

Ultimately however it takes an exertion of 3500 calories to burn just a single pound of fat. Therefore if we assume it takes 20 calories to digest an 8 inch stalk of celery compared to the 6 it contains, this means you're going to have to eat: roughly 227.5 8 inch Celery stalks to burn a single pound of fat. (3500/20 = 175. 175*6 = 1050, 4550/20 = 227.5) Oh and in that time you cannot eat anything else nor drink anything else.

Quindiana Jones
12-12-2012, 10:59 PM
Julian could've said that in two sentences or fewer. Jus' sayin'.
