Florence + the Machine is too mainstream these days to be hipster. :colbert:

Good that means I don't have to start drinking Starbucks and using a Mac.

Anybody who sounds that bad singing a Beyonce song needs to be destroyed.

But her songs are outstanding.

I love her music, but I think she's ugly.

I think she's a lovely musician and her albums are some of my favorites of recent years. She evolved a lot just between her first and second album, and with the sounds she's been producing, I'm excited to see where she goes from here.

I really, really love her voice. Admittedly, though, I haven't familiarized myself with her as much as I'd have liked to, but I'm getting there.

I really really like Florence. She can't cover Beyonce, granted, but then, why would she? She's good enough in her own right. My favourite is probably either I'm not calling you a liar or My boy builds coffins. I love her haunting voice!

The only song of theirs I've ever heard is "Breath of Life," thanks to Snow White and the Huntsman. I really like that song.

I can't bloody stand the woman.

Wow. She does sound awful. Really, really awful.

I love me some Florence too. Both Lungs and Ceremonials are great. She's got this Annie Lennox-meets-Stevie Nicks thing to her, with an Indie twist. I adore her.

I like "No Light."

Big fan of Florence and her mechanical buddies. My music-hipster girlfriend will be disappointed to know that Florence is no longer indie and is a little too mainstream for her now. :monster:

Dude, her music style is indie, but she's always been mainstream.

Seven Devils, Shake it Out, and What the Water Gave Me are the best songs on that album.

You spelled "heavy in your arms" very incorrectly.

Denmark

that's because heavy in your arms is a single not released on an album (except for the soundtrack to "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse") and it's definitely not on ceremonials

ahhh, i think i'm breaking down again

Jowy

looks like that came with my torrent of Ceremonials then!

BONUS!

Denmark

hells yeah nice bonus

yeah i got like "deluxe edition" of both albums or something that came with a buncha extra songs (acoustic/demo/remix(?)) but not all the non-album singles so i need to get on that. remember when downloading single songs was easy and downloading entire albums was hard? now it's the other way around

Drumming and What the Water Gave Me are by far my favourite songs by her.

I feel weird for having paid for her music now.

But for real, it's $5 an album for DRM-free on Amazon. Support your musicians!
