The barren intro screen is a sign of things to come, I fear.
Hullo all, and welcome to my Fallout Let's Play. With the infestation of Let's Plays going on here, I figured it's the perfect time to hop on the bandwagon! :D
This will be my first time playing Fallout 1, so this should be fun! Now let's get on with it. Unfortunately, I couldn't take conventional screenshots of the intro sequence, so I shamelessly took screenshots of a YouTube video playing the intro sequence. That type of ingenuity will almost certainly help me on the wastes! Hyuckhyuckhyuck.
The intro starts off with an introduction to our Vault; Vault 13.

This joke was way too easy.
After this, some excellent voiceover works joins the fray and we hear the very famous Fallout line. Unfortunately, it's not subtitled, so you'd just be getting a load of pictures of broken buildings. :|
Anyway, onto the character creation screen!

It may looks complicated, but just man the hell up, you ponce!
Due to a terrible head injury, I seem to have forgotten my name, age and gender. The latter should be easy to find out, but I'll still need a volunteer to double-check my findings. Also, I can't remember what I'm good at, so you'll need to help me alter my SPECIAL skills, choose some Traits and decide upon some Tag skills! You would think someone in the Vault might have written all this important information about its residents down, but oh well. :monster:
For those unaware, below are some links that explain the Traits and Skills in a nice table format, which you may peruse at your leisure. I will also include a link to all the Perks, for those of you that want to plan ahead a little. You needn't include which Perks you want when you make your suggestions, though. We'll just wing it. ;)
Traits (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_traits) - You can choose between 0 and 2 of these. The only Trait that I will not accept is the Skilled trait; Perks are one of the most interesting things about the Fallout games, so it's stupid to deny ourselves every opportunity to obtain them! Other than that, however, you lot can help yourselves!
Skills (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_skills) - We can pick three "Tag" skills at the start of the game, which function as a type of specialisation. These skills will advance at double the rate of non-Tagged skills.
Perks (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_perks) - We get to choose a Perk every three levels, though which ones we are able to choose depends on our SPECIAL and, occasionally, Skill levels. If you really like the look of a Perk, make sure you have the necessary stats!
Anyway, I'll end this here for now. Leave me some character suggestions below, and I'll look them all over. Ultimately, I'll base my decision on which character I think will play in the most interesting and fun way, and I may combine multiple ideas if I think it will help achieve that goal. Having said that, I've never played this game before, so this may go terribly wrong. I hope you enjoy the playthrough as much as I'll enjoy dying humiliatingly at the hands of giant rats. :bigsmile:
