Plastic ones are better. Less mess. Fuck.

Putting up Christmas trees is too much work. Don't even care. :aimmad:

You know what's unpopular? Christmas is a shitty holiday ruined by commercialism.

Many people think this. I was wondering who would be the first to say it

We shouldn't be celebrating it at all. It's not even Jesus's proper birth-date. Something in Apirl to celebrate his birthdate would be better, but this is a pagan event hidden as something that is supposed to be his birthday....

It's like a huge lie.

And no I'm not anti- God or anything I'm a Christian :)

Christmas is always an annoying date if you happen to have loved ones whose birthdays fall near or around Christmas. I didn't budget for all of this >_<

Since holly wreaths used to be herbal wreaths to keep 'disease at bay', every time I see one on someone's door I just think:

"haha, you have the plague."

Christmas pudding is one of the most disappointing things about Christmas. Why can't we have a nice dessert?

I once tasted some British Christmas pudding. It was horrific beyond words. :stare:

My nan makes a mean fruitcake that'll outlast the Earth. I think it must be about 90% sherry.

Key words being "tasted" and "British".

Christmas trees are pointless.

Very few Christmas films are objectively good.

Mince pies are one of the absolute greatest creations ever.

Crackers are crap.
(And I fucking hate cracker hats. Wtf man. It's TISSUE)

Mince pies go best if they're warmed up and served with piping hot custard.

(hides from the barrage of no they go best with whipped cream/ice cream etc people)

Whoever puts whipped cream with mince pies, please come to my house so I can murder you. Double cream, clotted cream, ice cream; these are all acceptable choices. But whipped? Jesus...

Yeah combo presents is pretty bullshit, I know I'd feel ripped off so I try not to do it. Usually I just organise with people that we're all square and no gifts need giving but ugh sometimes they catch you off guard and you feel shit xD

It depends though....because some things are really expensive so you can just use the money on a more expensive for both.

Mrs Dursley has a point. If you get them one big present as opposed to two small ones, then it's totally fine.

I simply enjoy the act of giving and getting free stuff. Many people get upset with me for calling Christmas for what it is.

Gift cards suck. Candy canes are really not that great.

Well...gift cards just mostly suck because I forget the expiration date.

Gift cards usually have two years before they expire, so if you don't use it before it expires then you are a terrible person. :colbert:

Fake Christmas trees are definitely better. Less mess, and I am allergic to real ones.

Also: wrapping presents is a massive waste of paper and needs to stop. Gift bags or gtfo.

Truth: I have just used Chipotle bags and blankets for my "wrapping."
