Snurble Awareness

The Snurble is a fantastically cute little critter that, in Final Fantasy XIV, will cast Cure or Protect (possibly more) on players as you pass them by. They're best described as little helpful balls of fluff. Of course, the fluff is quite useful, so people will inevitably kill them (or, more commonly, the Burble which is either the Snurble's children or a lesser species of Snurble) repeatedly for the sake of the Weaver's Guild. But yes! Snurbles definitely need to appear in more FF games. These have fast become a favourite of mine out of the non-repeated mobs in the FF series, alongside the Moomba.

When they bounce around, make cute squeaky noises and cast cure on you just because you're nearby, the charm is exaggerated tenfold. :D They're rather popular amongst FFXIV players, and one of the community reps uses that first image in my earlier post as an avatar.

The fact that they aid you is obviously pretty awesome though. I always hated attacking friendly monsters in XII but I needed that damn bestiary entry :(

Snurbles are pretty cool. My favorite friendly creature, though, is the wisps from one of the Ultima Online expansions, who would cast high-level magic against monsters you're fighting. I enjoyed running big angry mobs through the area and watching little pixies destroy them with pillars of fire.

Played Final Fantasy XIV for several months; never encountered one of these. I was not a fan of La Noscea.
