Your Eternal Avatar (EoFF Triple Triad cards)

Some of us have this, some of us don't. What we're doing at the moment is creating an EoFF-based Triple Triad set featuring the avatars of EoFFers. However, it's quickly become obvious that some avatars simply won't work so well in an 82x82 space that has been created, not to mention those of you that like to change avatars regularly will probably not want your current avatar representing you for eternity.

So! What would YOUR eternal avatar be? Post an 82x82 image you would like to represent you in this thread, please! :D

For non-square images, you can just load up the rest of the space with a solid colour. I've been told by the creators that moving images may not work, so stick with non-animated pictures where possible! Anyone who doesn't post in this thread with an image will likely have their avatar used instead, and animated avatars will be 'frozen' and used.

NOTE: While I can't promise you'll all be in the first set of Triple Triad cards to be released, anyone with over 1,000 posts that has recently posted at EoFF will be very likely to feature in the first one or two sets, alongside some of the key people in EoFF's history. The deck will be grown over time, but that's still being worked out. Right now I'm intending on getting 220 members with cards, so please don't feel bad if you're not in that group! It's hard when EoFF has so many great members to get them all in straight away. ;)

That's what I thought, or failing that, just do everything randomly. or a combination of the two. Ask people their element, and whoever doesn't respond, random it up.

Updates: If we are doing it based on self-selection, then I would love to be the Holy element.

I believe they are arranged in level order, so Lv. 10 cards are like best member, admins, etc etc. Then a gradual drop to say level 5 or something. As for numbers...

actually, that's a very good point. How are numbers being decided? Naturally, they will fall within the constraints of the level boundaries, but as for specifics, I don't know, ask BoB.

That could work actually, and make each card relatively unique. Of course, numbers would change throughout the years, but that can be worked around. Not quite so sure about basing numbers off of Ciddies, because many people have never actually won a Ciddie before. As for the reference/staff forum post idea, good thinking, but not everyone bothers much with those forums, particularly if their not staff or part of the event's committee.

But really I'm nitpicking, I like that idea nuke! :D

Numbers will likely be random (to avoid everyone making awesome cards, sorry!) and willd depend largely on the level (of course). They will use similar sets of numbers to those seen on the FFVIII cards, although perhaps the numbers will be rearranged to point in different directions.

Elements will first and foremost depend on things such as username (eg. fire_of_avalon = Fire element) but beyond that I am considering other options, including avatar image and (I'm assuming the number of cards with elements will still be less than a third of the deck at this point) allowing people to choose elements.

Levels are not as random when you get to high level cards, but are still fairly random. Lifetime Achievement Ciddie and Highwind winners will likely be in the top couple of rows, for example.

We can't use the original one because it doesn't work with squares. :( But yeah, it should have occurred to me to ask you or anyone who was on the old TT sites. If you can send it to me anyway if only for the sake of future TT sets that aren't relying on avatar-sizes, that would be awesome.

I haven't thought about this and I don't really agree with the idea of 'upgrading' existing cards. If anything, it would perhaps be a case of changing the existing card to a new member and creating a new L10 card. This would probably happen at the end of each year to ensure it all makes sense... so ask me a year from now, maybe. ;)

Just shrink the numbers and find a non-ugly version of the frame. Sure the last one blocks a bit of the avatar's corner but if you have the privelage of being a level 10 card I think you can suck it up. I was going to post this in the template thread but someone decided to close it

I'm not going back home for another 2 weeks, though.
