I have never ever seen this programme.

Enlighten me Aulayna! Tell me what it's aboot.

It's a spin off of Buffy that has Angel as the main character who relocates to LA to help the helpless by forming his own detective agency called Angel Investigations (that of course never really does much in the way of your run of the mill detective work). It's generally a much more darkier and grittier version of Buffy but still has the Whedon wit and charm about it and see's him and the crew slaying vamps and all that good stuff, travelling to other dimensions and getting involved in a very big game of cat and mouse with a demonic global law firm and as a result treads into some more morally grey areas than Buffy did as a show.

It also has an episode where Angel gets turned into a puppet - which is worth watching the show for on it's own.
