I've begun re-watching/completely watching the series on Netflix. The stench of nerd in my house is almost deadly.

Prayers and condolences should be sent to my long suffering significant other, because I noticed yesterday that Netflix also has Air Wolf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airwolf) available.

I also made her watch Surf Nazis Must Die (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surf_Nazis_Must_Die).

Talk about how awesome the Highlander is, or talk about how you torture others with cheesy shows and movies.

Forced my parents to start watching Doctor Who. They actually really enjoy it. (It's a corny show. Awesome, yes, but corny.)

I used to love Highlander back when I was a kid, but I couldn't tell you anything about it now.

of course I make everyone watch Firefly. And they all fucking thank me for the service.

Also Sharky is now the main villain in my imagined saga of my life.

I was genuinely considering making another Highlander thread so I could set up one of the staff with a perfect opportunity, but I don't trust them to get it. :(

Still never seen the Highlander, actually.

The show was awesome, but the most recent movies are piss poor.

What, you mean by pretending to cut off everyone's head and screaming "THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!" while Princes of the Universe is blaring in the background?

While wearing a kilt?

Yeah, I could handle that.

I'm happy to see you in a kilt. You've gotta be proper Scot, though. ;)

That isn't a stench of nerd, it's a stench of man.

I don't think I'll get a chance to torture Rantz with Newsradio. He's going to hate it for two reasons: laugh tracks and grainy 90's show camera quality because he is stingy.

Oh man, I started watching Highlander on Netflix a couple of years ago, but got distracted with something else after the first season or so. I should get on that again.

There is apparently a remake/reboot of the original film in the, uh, making. I am excited and horrified, much like I am when I hear of anything new being added to a franchise I love/abhor. Let us be clear: the first film rocked. Everything else, everything, has sucked immense balls. But all of it is great. This is boggling and fulfilling.

Ryan Reynolds is rumored to star in it.

Take from that what you will.

Oh god. I don't think he's ever starred in a good movie throughout his entire career.

I was about to rebut that with a list of fantastic films, but then I realised I was thinking of Ben Affleck. :roll2

Newsradio is awesome.
