Most Underrated Comics-Based Films

So thanks to Nolan Batman and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, liking superhero flicks is "Cool."
But these new movies have sadly overshadowed other films that deserve love. For one, I noticed a lot of people forget there were quality comic book movies before X-Men or Blade. (some people consider X-Men bad nowadays but it still repaired the reputation of this subgenre)

So yes, what are your Top 5 or 10 or whatever Most Underrated Comic-Based Movies?

The Crow has to be up there. I would also say Hulk but I recognize that movie had a lot of problems that keep it down.

Ghost World - though I guess it's not so much underrated as overlooked.

I think the first X Men was great but it went a bit downhill, First Class was awesome though!

Well. They're not underrated I suppose.

Hmmm.... Watchmen? would that count?

Kick-Ass is pretty underrated too.

If by 'underrated' you mean 'not very successful commercially' then Kick-Ass and Scott Pilgrim definitely both qualify.

Watchmen is fantastic and I have a soft spot for The Crow.

The films I've seen that are based on comics aren't necessarily underrated. My favorites like Sin City, 300 (speaking of holy shit SEQUELS FOR BOTH THIS AND SIN CITY), V for Vendetta and Scott Pilgrim are all pretty prominent and popular.

Maybe. It grossed $185 million, which is not bad but not at your 'comic blockbuster' level. It also got a mixed reaction from critics and fans. Some (like myself) thought it was very good and as true to the source material as it probably could have been, and some didn't think so or thought it was too dark.

I like all of the X-Men movies a lot, and I think they're pretty good action movies. :|

I loved The Legend of Chun-Li. Terrible, but I honestly don't think (Well, apart from Chris Klein) that is was as horrible as it was said, when it first came out.
