I just wanted to say that I hate Skyfall by Adele.

I am not a big Adele fan but I think it's a decent song, certainly as Bond themes go anyway.

I predict a bunch of rich people will give themselves awards for pretending and take it way too seriously.

I have seen hardly any of those films, so I cannot say either way. Not to mention that I have NEVER heard of Silver Linings Playbook, yet the middle aged men of the nominations panel decide to go for it anyway. Meanwhile, Skyfall, which I have heard of, was critically acclaimed and is heralded as a great Bond movie, doesn't even get a best picture nomination. This is despite Skyfall being the 3rd highest grossing film of 2012 and the 13th of all time.

The film awards often don't make much sense to me.

If you haven't heard of Silver Linings Playbook, you don't pay much attention to new films in general. It's been out for almost two months and has fairly famous people in it. Plus it's very good.

And not sure what Skyfall's box office gross has to do with anything. A James Bond film was never going to be nominated anyway.
