FFV Music Appreciation thread

So I am sitting here listing the Generation N Arranged Album, and Dear Friends (Piano solo) comes on and I always forget how awesome this song is. Then I look through the album and realize I like all of the FFV arranged tracks. When FF music comes up, I always feel sad FFV gets looked over a bit cause I honestly feel this was the game where Nobuo Uematsu really began to start cranking out some consistent masterpieces.

Agree completely. This belongs up there in discussions of Uematsu's best soundtracks alongside other frequently mentioned titles such as VI, VII, and IX. We all know that "Clash on the Big Bridge" rules but most of this soundtrack is rather amazing. A few other choice tracks:

I can't really agree with it having one of the best soundtracks of Final Fantasy because I like Final Fantasy VII, VI, X and XIII's much more, as well as that of IV, but each to his own.

My personal favourites:

I can't explain the feeling of hearing this for the first time. It feels clean, breezy...innocent. Totally like night and day to VI's intro music.

But yeah, the whole bloody thing is amazing. The only reason it doesn't get more love is that so many of the current fanbase had never seen boobs before they played Final Fantasy VII. Oh, trout, did I just say that out loud???
