I have an Xbox live silver acc. I am not an online gamer and don't plan tobecome one so I haven't upgraded to gold. With dmc coming out there's a lot of dlc I'd like to purchase can I still buy the content without upgrading to gold?

Yes, you can. You do not need a gold account to download DLC, demos, trailers, etc.
