just kidding! another poll related to where we critique what our fellow forumgoers eat while silently criticizing their tastes.

Do you like crunchy peanut butter, or are you a nancy and eat the the smooth kind? There's a right and wrong answer, as always!

Tigmafuzz

I enjoy both. I usually prefer crunchy, unless I add banana or something, in which case I prefer smooth, so there aren't conflicting textures.

When you say "peanut butter," you are referring to the stuff that comes out when you kill those little peanut-shaped creatures living under the sink and then churn that into butter with a little bit of salt, cream, and maple syrup, right?

I mean the jars located in the bread and cereal aisle in your local grocer! Just cleaning supplies and a separate container for paper waste is under both sinks. As my water flows from that area, I like to keep it as clean as possible.

I like both.

Crunch when I want a little bite, creamy when I don't. Also, the two don't taste the same. Crunchy is much saltier.

There is no option for both. You pick one and you stick to your convictions.

I told him to shut up because crunchy is my favorite dammit and I almost made this thread but came here to find that he himself had made it instead!

Smooth! Every time I have crunchy peanut butter I think "Gah what was that! Oh, a piece of peanut. Wait! What was that? A bug? A bit of gravel? The treasure of the Sierra Madre? Oh, another piece of peanut." Apparently crunchy is too stressful for me. I pick a texture and stick with it! Chunky is like you couldn't decide whether to have peanuts or peanut butter.

It's like if we freaked out over tea. "You mean they dry some weed, crush it, poor hot water over it, and drink that? :barf:"

I've had tea enough. It's certainly not as big here as there, and I know people that have never enjoyed a cup of hot tea. Still, it's fucking TEA!

Just to give you our perspective. I'm cracking up. Don't take this badly, Bubba. It's not meant as mean spirited.

I have to say that both spreads (this may be due to the cheap brand that I bought) tasted very similar. Though, the texture on the chunky spread was infinitely more satisfying.

The smooth variety reminded me too much of baby food. It was almost like it should taste of apple and apricot or something.

At the end of the day, it is "peanut" butter. I want to munch on some actual peanuts to gain any kind of enjoyment. I am now a peanut butter convert and...

...Crunchy forever.
