As a whole, do you prefer to go with a consistent amount of damage with Setzer's regular attack command (Death Tarot, Final Trump, Gladius, whatever) or pop the fixed dice on as soon as possible for inconsistently high damage?

The dice are totally sweet when paired with the Offering. Dice all the way.

The Fixed Dice cause he really has to be screwed by the RNG not to pull off more damage than he could with any of his other weapons. Setzer's Gambling weapons are pretty weak, so consistent damage from them is still going to get you anything. If you don't use the Fixed Dice, you better either be using a Merit Award and a better weapon like the Atma Sword, or using him as a mage.

Whenever Setzer is in my party he always rocks Fixed Dice + Offering. It's just too much fun to see the high numbers roll out.

I've rarely used the dice but I've never had the offering on him either.

I fear randomness, so my Setzer is usually a mage of some kind. Otherwise I just let him pay off the monsters.
