Let's discuss one of the greatest cartoon shows of all time.

This, alongside the 1990s X-Men, is one of my absolute all-time cartoons. It was dark, broody, funny, hilarious, disturbing, and everything else. Harley Quinn is one of my all-time favorite characters.

Speaking of which:

I loved it. It was actually drawn on black paper and the light parts filled in, opposite of most cartoons.

Really? I did not know that. That must be why it looks so different from everything else. It's got that dark, gothic, gloomy sheen.

Eeeeee I love everything about this thread!

Harley is my all-time favorite Batman character. I downloaded this series to watch again late last year and haven't quite made it through all the way, but some of the stuff in that show is just plain hilarious - jokes that I didn't understand as a kid and stuff. The show is just so dark and I looove it. One of the more prominent cartoons I remember watching as a kid.

I didn't realize until later that the show actually received some legit critical recognition and awards. It's arguably the best adaptation of the comics ever. Kevin Conroy's voice is Bruce Wayne's voice. The best part of it all was probably Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. The part where he breaks down and starts crying at his parent's grave and says the line "I never counted on being happy" was a moment where you go "holy shit, this dude is going all out for his actor props for real."

So yeah, best adaptation, and this is coming from someone who thinks the Christopher Nolan films are great and the Tim Burton films are sublime.

TAS Poison Ivy is the sexiest cartoon character ever. No ifs, ands or buts.

Well, there are butts... She had quite the tush on her.

Shame she didn't really make good use of her plant powers. Her character was interesting but her powerset kinda sucked compared to The Batman's version of her.

Man I'd like to give her a nice mouthful of my chlorophyll.

If you know what I mean. Eh? *nudgenudge* Eh?

In Mask of the Phantasm I would die laughing every time I saw the part where Joker gives Batman the beatdown with a chunk of meat :p

There's a channel on the cable that has airs this show regularly at night, which is the best time to watch it. It's amazing how many of the episodes I remember watching as a child. xD
