I have my level 80 guardian. Started over with my ranger. Wasn't liking the run animation of Charr. So now I have a thief, ranger and ele all low levels.

Still on Fort Aspenwood. go FA! :D

Damn this is a huge update!

My human guardian is level 67. I still play every once and a while, but I'm not a one game guy, never have been since I've come back to PC gaming the last many months, so my attention shifts to different titles and I've been completely absorbed with the Elder Scrolls series lately. I do feel guilty, because my WoW friends are eager to interpret any drop in interest as victory over another false pretender to the MMO throne.

Damn, part of the update was to end free server transfers. I need an active group and was gonna see if your clan could use one more. If I ever dive back in and get some gems, I'll let ya know!

For sure and yes, we always can use more! Have a good active group of officers but the general guild membership isn't too active.

So this Living Story stuff is it actually on the same level as the main storyline quests or is it just more the boring go within a specific radius and kill generic things/pick generic stuff up until a bar hiding an arbitary numbered target fills up over and over?

I'm trying to decide whether I should try out the advanced collecting tools from the laurel vendors. The description is vague and the wiki doesn't have any additional info, so it's hard to tell whether they're significantly more effective than regular tools or if the difference will be barely noticeable.

I jumped into WvW with a friend earlier today and, while attempting to reach the tower he was defending, I encountered a lone enemy guardian who decided to attack me.
I'm not sure if you've ever watched two guardians fighting in one-on-one combat, but it is not an exciting battle.

Takes forever and you just buff yourselves to no end. One thing I love about being a guardian is most of the time the armor I use people think I'm a warrior so they think they can 1v1 me. Then I start throwing my buffs and they run away and don't wanna fight me :(

Yeah in PvP I tend to hold off 3 players for as long as I can while my team locks down the other control points. Guardian vs. Guardian fights really come down to who can most accurately hit the other person while circle-strafing.

SPvP is no good atm. too much thief/mesmer glass cannon OP crap and everyone else has to run a bunker build. WvW is the way to go for PvP right now.

I know there's a lot of issues with it, it can be really fun, though.

Oh I have a blast in there from time to time. Just sucks when you get into the tournaments and you're facing nothing but invisible thief's.
