Guys we are going to talk about motherfetching spinach. This stuff is awesome. Reasons:

Popeye
7 calories will give you like 56% of your Vitamin A for the day (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2626/2) which is just about the best calorie -> nutrition ratio ever
Put some baby spinach on a plate. Add cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, some chicken and maybe some eggs. CONGRATS you just made a super tasty salad in like two minutes.

PLEBEIAN VEGETABLES STAY OUT, spinach is the true king.

Spinach done Italian style (basically with lemon, olive oil and seasoning) is so yummy. Pretty sure the hate for spinach comes from people who haven't had it cooked properly, just like with brussel sprouts.

Orange is the best letter in the alphabet. Potatoes are the best kind of fruits. George Bush was the best monarch ever.

I can say crazy things that aren't true too!

Regarding spinach: Nope.

Regarding brussel sprouts: Nope.

So much wrong in this thread already, and it's only 4 posts long.

You might be right about it being underrated, but the best? Have we forgotten that potatoes give us french fries and potato chips?

Potatoes.

Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.

Corn chips > potato chips

Botanically speaking, corn is a caryopsis (dry fruit, i.e. a grain) therefore it has no place in this discussion. Nutritionally, fresh corn can still be considered a vegetable, but corn chips are made with dried corn. Besides, cheddar and sour cream Ruffles > Doritos anyway.

Cauliflower is good. Spinach not so much. That and I can't really have it because its high in potassium and that is something I need to avoid or limit myself eating. :<

Spinach is ok, but is pretty bland by itself. It's tolerable in combination with other things, but I can't say that I'd actually miss it in anything. It's just meh.

There are plenty of far greater vegetables.

Weird thing about it is that the anti nutrient in it takes away iron and calcium, not sure how much but you be getting as much.

"Many vitamins are present in spinach and are necessary for various parts of your body. Vitamin A is one such vitamin; 1/2 cup of raw spinach contains 60 percent of the daily recommendation, while 1/2 cup of cooked spinach contains 190 percent. "

Apparently cooked spinach gives more a vitamin but, of course, at a loss of other nutrients.
