You know that relaxed, contemplative feeling you get when you're stuck inside the house on a rainy day reading? What music do feel inclined to listen to when you're in that kind of mood?

I think Tom Waits would be my first go-to. Doesn't matter what it is, he would be playing. Alternatively, Death Cab for Cutie.

Lately, my go to artists for rainy days are BT, Sufjan Stevens, and The Anniversary. If I am reading, I am mostly inclined to listen to BT... either These Hopeful Machines or This Binary Universe. If I'm not listening to either of those, I'm probably listening to The Age of Adz by Sufjan Stevens. For some reason I'm always able to concentrate really well when listening to that

Designing a Nervous Breakdown by The Anniversary and either Michigan or Seven Swans by Sufjan always fits my more contemplative moods on rainy days though.

"Field Recordings" on last.fm or Pandora. Nice and contemplative.

All I know is that whenever it rains and I'm on the bus, the song Here Comes the Rain Again gets instantly stuck in my head.
