Square Enix just registered a domain name of warfornasgoth.com, which was spotted by Superannunation (https://twitter.com/supererogatory/status/300318744708775937). If you don't know, Nosgoth is where the Legacy of Kain games take place. Check out the original intro for the 1999 game.

Recently finished with their reboot of the old series Tomb Raider (http://home.eyesonff.com/content/2364-11-minute-footage-tomb-raider-released.html), Crystal Dynamics has created the majority of the Kain games. Square Enix hasn't officially announced a remake but it wouldn't be too much of a surprise. After acquiring Edios, Square Enix has been hard at work with the licenses they grabbed with it. Rebooting Tomb Raider was a great step but we might see more of these in the future.

Were you a fan of the Soul Reaver games? Did you like it back when vampires were "cool"? Do you want a reboot?

Legacy of Kain Defiance was the last game in the series, and the only one I played, but I was really impressed at the time with just how good the storytelling, combat and art style all were. It was one of those games where I didn't know what I was getting into and was really surprised with just how good it was.

This is also the series where Amy Hennig, of Uncharted fame, cut her teeth as a game director.

It's sad we've gone a whole generation without one, I'd definitely like to see it. I feel like Kain and Raziel should've been in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale no quesion. WTF is wrong with whoever designed that roster?

You're telling me. I followed the series from the beginning and own every game except Blood Omen 2 (I bought it, but returned it when a glitch prevented me from loading my save. It wasn't very good anyway since it was done by another team), and Defiance ended on a god damn cliff hanger. I hold out no hope of the series actually being finished though. I'd say a full reboot is more likely.

They're that developer that made themselves famous with Tomb Raider II, then destroyed themselves with Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

Yeah I'm okay with this right here because Legacy of Kain was a pretty boss series back in the day. I think Soul Reaver was the better game and I remember being hugely impressed by it at the time from a technical perspective but I think I had more fun with Blood Omen just because, well, you could go drink the blood of innocent, helpless young maidens. :shobon:

Drink the blood of the innocent from across the room to be a bit more accurate/badass.
