View Full Version : Childhood Dream Job vs Adulthood Dream Job
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? What do you want to be now?
When I was kid, I always wanted to be a train conductor. I loved trains! And I thought it would be so fun to ride in a train for miles and see so many places. I had my heart set on it!
Nowadays, my dream is to be a professor of linguistics. I can imagine myself going to work everyday happy and teaching young students about the one thing I find most fascinating. And I want to do research! Lots and lots of research. There are just so many things I want to know~
I still think being a train conductor would be cool, but I think I would get tired of it eventually.
I was literally just thinking about this today.
I'd love to be a wine taster/wine judge. It'd take some years to work up my palette, I think, but I would enjoy the hell out of that job. Or working on Broadway.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a vet.

I always wanted to be a vet, too. I was never sure I would be able to handle the PTSD, though.

Childhood dream was to be an archaeologist. Adulthood dream is to run an alternative-themed cafe and to be my own boss.

As a kid, I really wanted to be a Paleotologist.
Now, I dabble in gay porn.
Oh, don't see why I could do both.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a Marine Biologist. Now I want to be a musician. Obviously young Phil was much more sensible...and boring.

When I was a little tot I wanted to be a person who is involved in making movies and I grew up to be a person working in television, music videos, and movies. Television is okay, but needs more Tyra.

When I was a kid I wanted to be an architect as a realistic job and a rock star as a dream job.
Now I want to be a doctor as a realistic job and a rock star as my dream job.

As a kid I wanted to be a vet of work for NASA.
These days I'd either love to be a community manage, an olympic athlete or cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic (just because of the uniform really, so classy!)

As a kid, I wanted to primarily be a vet. I also wanted to be a pilot, superhero, firefighter, police officer, lion tamer, and a ship master.
Nowadays, I want to own my own bookstore.

Best answer.

But if I could I would be a unicorn.

It's worth pointing out that you can be a wine taster. You are qualified, because you have a mouth. It doesn't require any skills other than some acting and the ability to lie quite well. :D

As a kid, I wanted to be an on air weatherman, or a race cars.
As an adult, I want to own a used book and music store, with a little sandwich place. Also I want an area in the back where I can have a metal working and glass blowing shop, so that stuff would be available in the store front too.
Also, race cars. :|
