We haven't had a food thread for a while.

Let's talk about the greatest thing ever - BACON.

I like mine grilled, really crispy and in a slightly toasted bun. Omg just heaven.... HEAVEN.
Also in a cheeseburger. A bacon topped cheeseburger is amazing.

Mmmm bacon...

GODDAMN. I was trying to find that article a few months ago and couldn't! It was driving me crazy!

I think the bacon craze is getting way out of hand. My coworker showed me bacon shaving cream the other day. The Worse Things For Sale had bacon lube on the frontpage today. Some people like bacon but nobody loves bacon that much.

I don't particularly like bacon. But that's just me.

I don't like crispy bacon. I'll eat it, but I prefer mine floppy and limp and barely cooked.

The original website is now down. The only place to find this and Bacon Cereal/Bacon Cheese Bacon Burger is now the Way Back Machine.

The super fancy grocery store down the street sells bacon chocolate. :stare: It sounds terrible.

The bacon chocolate isn't bacon flavored or scented. It is a legit strip of bacon that has been dipped in chocolate. The experience is entirely underwhelming as you don't get enough of either flavor and it is just kind of flat :/

I like crispy bacon. I like to make some cracker snacks with mine. You take a cracker, put on a little tomato square, add a bit of crumbled bacon, top with cheese. Makes about 20 crackers with 4-5 slices of bacon. Then you microwave it until the cheese melts. It's very yummy.

I just had bacon from a local butcher instead of the supermarket and I basically JIMP'd all over the kitchen after taking that first bite

There's a supermarket in Guiyang that sells Elaborate Bacon.

Bacon is why there are so few vegetarians in the world and one of my biggest justifications for remaining omnivorous :D

The bacon itself shouldn't be crispy (full of flavour when it's soft and meaty!) but the fat should be. I can't normally stand bacon fat, when it's all flabby and floppy and flappy, it makes me hurl. When crisped up though, mmmmm

Also, best hangover cure. There's little that a good bacon sandwich won't cure after a night of heavy drinking, especially when combined with a coffee. (If it's really bad, there's the humble Full English Breakfast)

Bacon is the mother fucking flavor of life, crispy and brittle is where it's at with my bacon. If it don't crunch I don't munch, ya dig?

I'm also in the softer bacon camp. I like to to be sizzling, but not crunchy or crispy.

The only time that's okay is if it's in a sandwich, because it makes it easier to bite through.

Fools, the lot of ye.

crispy is where it's at, it has tons of flavour. Floppy bacon has too much grease and the cheaper bacon made mostly of fat is terrible that way.

Don't buy cheap bacon. You're better than that.

I like bacon in all forms and states. I prefer it "medium rare", but even completely uncooked (as long as it is smoked) tastes delicious to me. Actually, I'll even eat chunks of frozen bacon and enjoy it.

I helped to make bacon ice cream using dry ice.

Yes, bacon ice cream.

It resulted in a carbonated ice cream treat! I think it was actually pretty yummy, but I didn't care for the carbonation. I was also terrified that the dry ice wouldn't be fully sublimated, so I would bite into a chunk and give my tongue frost bite. But all was well! SCIENCE!

Bacon is pretty damn awesome. It has to be smoked bacon imho and actually I like my bacon pretty much cooked any which way, though perhaps unusually I like mine very much on the blue too. As in smoking it alone, is more than enough cooking. Has to be super fresh for that though so only when I first open a packet after it's been open more than a day it's cooked otherwise I might risk a food poisoning.
