FFVI has 14 playable characters. You can bring 12 of them with you for Kefka's Tower. Which 2 do you usually leave out?

I usually leave out Gau because I never bother with learning his rages, and Relm just because she's my least favorite of the remaining 13.

Shadow because he was dead.

I think it has 14 if I remember correctly.

It's always a toss-up between Gau, Umaro and Gogo who each have about the same level of uselessness. :p

Hey, I remember the 'characters you play the most' thread. For the record I leave out Umaro and Gogo.

I leave out Umaro and Gogo because if i recall they dont get any pre-final battle dialogue

They don't have any dialogue so they just have a staring contest with each other in the engine room of the Falcon because of it.

Umaro because I don't like the pure-auto characters, and Relm cause I hate her.

There were 2 "secret" characters, each involving a short sidequest. Umaro was a Yeti that was constantly in Berserk status, and Gogo was a mime with mediocre stats but could equip any 4 available commands. You could ave, say, Blitz, Tools, Runic, and Bushido instead of Attack, Magic, Special Command, and Items.

I always leave out Relm and Strago. I like GoGo and Umaro. Once I leave Relm and Strago join my party, I only use them when I have to in the WoR. I just don't care for their characters.

I leave out the optional characters with the exception of Mog. You have to get Mog. You don't have to get Water Rondo, but you do have to get Mog.

The way I figure it, Gogo can be taught to pilot the ship and Umaro can punch any Ahrimans that thy to fly up to the ship.

In the distant future of Final Fantasy VI Hacking, a 4-Party Dungeon may be a possibility, especially if Banon and Arvis were made playable characters. I have a story in mind too...

Yeah, I know about them, I think I had forgot about Setser and Cyan when I was thinking about this.

I always quite liked Gogo!

I tend to leave Umaro and Gau. I'm a bit of a control freak and don't like to not be in charge of my characters!

Gau and Umaro. I never bothered with learning Gau's rages and Umaro is pretty self explanatory.

During my first play through it didn't matter which characters I used because all of them were maxed out.

I leave Umaro and Gogo behind because they least relevance to the story. Mog, at least, appears as a mandatory party member in the World of Balance at the beginning of the game and he is featured prominently in the North American marketing and merchandise for the game.

Umaro and Gau, that doesn't mean I hate them, I just found them not as useful as others.

Umaro and Gau were two of my strongest characters, so I'm surprised so many leave them out. Some of the most simple (and easily obtained) rage attacks from Gau can turn the tide so quickly it's insane.

I think I left Gogo and Strago.

I'm just not used to play with uncontrolled characters.

I never took Relm or Strago.

Gogo and Umaro. It's just hard to care about them that much.

By default, every time I play through the game, I end up not having Relm, Strago, or Shadow. I don't know how to get Strago and Relm, and Shadow always randomly leaves. So by the end of the game, I have only 11 characters anyway. :jess:

Umaro and Strago,

Umaro because I never really cared for him and Strago because Cyan's already filling the old man quota.

The obvious Gogo and Umaro. I bring Mog along not only because I like her/him as a character and he/she's at least somewhat important to the plot, but also the Moogle Charm is pretty convenient. :D

You have to wait for Shadow during the countdown on floating continent, otherwise he dies. After that you can recruit him in an optional cave, and then he won't leave anymore. Relm is in Owzer's Mansion. Strago is at Fanatic's Tower, but you'll need Relm for him to come to his senses.

That narrows it down a bunch. ;)

And I know what you mean. :)

Umaro and Gau are the most obvious answers. I dislike uncontrollable characters so I rarely build use Gau all game long and he ends up under leveled anyway.

I left behind Umaro and Gau simply because they were the two I didn't bother to grind until Level 50 before entering Kefka's Tower.
