GOG.com (http://www.gog.com/)

Basically a site with a lot of old, cheap, DRM-free games. They have nice sales every so often.

Only 69, and even then a lot of it is broken into expansions, like Civ IV, individual game modes, like Call of Duty, and a bunch of stuff like the Half-Life Gold pack from back in the day.

GoG is where you can find cheap games that don't suck. Like Baldur's Gate II for $10. That's, like, 10 cents for every hour of amazingly deep and engaging story and gameplay. I'm not kidding. GO TO GOG, people.

2.
Terraria and DC Universe Online. I'm not much of a PC gamer anymore, unless its an mmo. I still play WoW, SWTOR and RO from time to time.

Maybe 20ish, I think. Haven't played most of them, and since discovering GOG, I haven't played any.

Since when were Arena and Daggerfall available on Steam?

They aren't but I added the shortcuts to my Steam to complete the set because it was bugging me that they were missing. They're free downloads from Bethesda now, though. They run fine in DOSBox.

1. Football Manager 2012 - Played it a lot. My current save's gametime has "56 Days, 9 Hours, 33 Minutes" listed. Addictedness Rating (yes, they have this) is "Nothing to see here, move along..."
2. Skyrim - Played it through to end.
3. XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Played it through to end.
4. Thief Gold - Played a few levels.
5. Thief 2 - Not yet played.
6. Thief: Deadly Shadows - Not yet played.
7. Portal - Not yet played.
8. Dota 2 - Not yet played (gifted to me).

I showed your play time on that to one of my friends last week. He suggested that you must frequently leave the game running while AFK or something. I suggested that your name is "Loony BoB" for a reason.

Also, 49 games in my library. A lot of them are from humble bundles and have yet to be played, though.

Perhaps a better measurement would be to advise him that I'm currently up to 6th October 2022 with a Huge Database covering 25 leagues from around the world (it was more at one point, but I don't need the lower leagues so much these days). I have spent some time leaving it on while AFK, but I would say I've spent a very large amount of those 56 days actively playing the game... it is, after all, a two and a half year old game and I'm very, very intensive when it comes to transfers, scouting hundreds of players at a time and then narrowing it down. Recently that generally involved scouting every single 15-17 year old in the top 50-70 nations at once.

Bob I may need to re-evaluate what I think of you. You're clearly more hardcore than I was giving you credit for.

Incidentally, that is pretty close to my bench press maximum. :(

If I had the time and money to play more games and for longer times, I would. :(

I have WAY too many games on Steam. Which is amusing since before 2009, I had maybe just the Valve games, but gone insane when I built a custom gaming PC while Steam was having a winter sale. Long story short, I got over 700 games on Steam (1320 according to Steam, but that includes demos, dlcs, F2P games, and other minor stuff).

Loony BoB
03-12-2013, 07:44 AM
How in the world do you find the time to play 700 games. x_x

Madame Adequate
03-12-2013, 07:52 AM
Ahahaha, he thinks you play all the games you buy when Gaben puts everything on sale.

No no son, Gaben squeezes your wallet, and you tap out. Whether you play the games is tertiary at best.

Loony BoB
03-12-2013, 07:59 AM
I have half my library like that, but I could never buy 700 games and even hope to play about 50 of them, let alone 300. It's like the impossible dream: Having enough time to play all the games in the world you want to play. Oh man. Oh man. Retirement is going to be so much cooler for our generation than any before it, you know?

Our generation won't desperately try to stave of arthritis for the pain it causes, but rather the reduction in our 1337 gaming skill it would cause.

191... not bad!

I try to play all of the big titles I buy unless they just suck and I stop caring (Lost Planet, FEAR). All the casual/indie games I usually just play a bit of until I have my fill unless they really hook me.

Because Steam Sales are the devil, I have 189 games. It says I have 207 or so in All Games. I do have a good number of games on Origin, GoG, Amazon, and a several others lying about that add up to 250, probably. But, whatever. PC Gaming sales that pop up nowadays are evil creatures meant to suck you dry... but it works so well.

Somewhere around 35 I think. I'm such a n00b. Except I'm not since that's over about 5/6 years and many of those are from bundles (Broken Sword trilogy for £10, oh go on then). I've played about 50% of them, not helped by mild arrogance on my part buying games that were on special and then finding my laptop couldn't play them (hello Skyrim).
