Have you ever accidentally let a secret or something you shouldn't have said slip out to the wrong person?

Someone at work did this and now there's a dramastorm a-swellin'.

You mean like that internal e-mail thread you shared here on a public forum a while back? :p

Totally and 100% completely unrelated other than the fact that both of the threads were made in relation to a situation that happened at my work. (And I made it a point to not disclose the contents of the email.)

That wasn't really a drama thing, though, Aulayna.

TELL US THE GOSSIP, SHORTY

Also, I've ruined two surprise parties. I think I accidentally outed an ex to his mom (I THOUGHT SHE KNEW!!!!!!!!), and just generally tell people things they shouldn't know.

Usually it happens because I don't realize other people don't know. Just saying, if you're telling someone sensitive information, you need to let them know who not to tell (if anyone.)

Never accidentally, but I have done that on purpose to call people on their shit.

I have a habit of outing people.

This is what happens when you sleep with people when you've had too much to drink.

One of my bridesmaid for my wedding was a smurfing all star, she was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, always calling to check up on me and make sure the planning wasn't driving me nuts, and she custom ordered a bracelet for me to wear on the wedding day which is like, the sweetest thing ever. Overall, being a really good friend to me.

So as a thank you, I emailed her to let her know that I would cover her expenses if she wanted to get a makeup artist to do her makeup on the day. Everyone else, including myself, was going to do our own makeup but this this bridesmaid kind of sucked with makeup and I knew she wanted a professional to help her out. I accidentally included another bridesmaid in the email and she kind of threw a fit about the fact that I was being selective about covering the makeup costs.

It was drama for a few days.

It wasn't a "secret" but it definitely wasn't something I wanted to advertise, precisely for the drama I knew it might cause. And it was my own smurfup.

Other than that, even though I like to gossip, but I'm generally good about know what I can and can't share.

If I do it's because it was not established that it was a secret.

Yes. I was hurt and felt betrayed by someone, so I thought I'd betray him by opening my mouth. :eep:

It might have done the trick, more than I intended, because we've made up, and I did end up hurting him by doing that (and lost trust from him there) and now I feel a little bad. But well, emotions got the best of me, I guess.

This happened ages ago when I worked at the bank.

I was out having a drink with people from work. I was quite drunk and I was holding court telling humorous stories about our workplace. A young girl who worked for us may have a got a little more than she bargained for. It's safe to say that she didn't really appreciate me revealing to the group that her mother had given my friend a blow job in the alleyway behind the very bar we were in.

I had no idea that it was her mother.
