Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues by Portalarium, Inc. ? Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/portalarium/shroud-of-the-avatar-forsaken-virtues-0)

This has been all over my twitter today, it's an RPG paid for by Kickstarter pledges... Read it and go have a look, it actually looks pretty fucking cool...

Well yeah, it's from Richard Garriot, guy who did the Ultima Series!

Should have been the first thing you mentioned Locky. Shame on you. :colbert:

It is always nice to see an independent project for a video game get funded successfully on Kickstarter. I think they may have been a little too ambitious in setting their goals, though -- $2,500,000 for virtual reality support? Am I reading that right?

Torment: Tides of Numenera by inXile entertainment ? Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/torment-tides-of-numenera)

Cool sounding project I guess, but the three I've just linked to interest me a lot more!

What a shame. That project had a $4,000,000 goal for "Enhancing the Entire Game" and they fell short of it ending at $3.9 million or so. I wonder if they will hold an additional drive to get the remaining money since they were so close to that goal? Is that allowed? Gosh, they were so close.

Actually Eternity got well above $4M for their game because Kickstarter does not include Paypal donations and Obsidian received I think $300,00 of those. Anyway, all four of the old-school(ish) RPG Kickstarters have made me very happy and very poor, with Eternity and Torment being my personal favorites.
