Man in the UK they have these places with sushi on a little conveyer belt and you just eat as much as you want and it's amazing.

All sushi is wonderful but the kind with salmon is the best.

Philadelpia rolls: Salmon, cream cheese, and avocado are my favourite.

There's very few sushis I DON'T like, though.

When I ate meat, I enjoyed salmon and avocado rolls pretty frequently. Now when I get sushi, it usually has avocado, red capsicum, cucumber, and sometimes yam or asparagus in it. It is good with either brown or white rice, and rolled either way is fine. I also tend to use all of the wasabi and pickled ginger that comes with it!

I've had mixed luck making sushi, usually because I am terrible at telling whether an avocado is ripe or not.

Conveyor belt? Sounds suspiciously similar to what I tried in Tokyo...

Salmon and kingfish nigiri is awesome btw.

I ate at a conveyor-belt style sushi place once, and while the novelty was nice I would much prefer to have something that was made-to-order over something that might have been orbiting the room for hours.

Since i've been in nippon me and J have regularly hit up this place in Shibuya called Genki Sushi which is the tits. Rather than conveyor belts you put your order in on a touch screen in front of you, they make it and then it zooms out on some ghetto sushi train thing and stops in front of you. It's also ridiculously cheap and very tasty. I eat a ton of food every time I go in there and I've yet to break 1500 yen. By far my favourite is tuna nigiri, especially the albacore tuna nigiri. I also like the random prawn tempura you can get in there, as well as getting at least 3 melon sodas every time I'm there. God damn I want some now.

There's conveyer belt sushi in the states too. ;)

Generally the quality isn't going to be all that great at these places, but it's a ton of fun to just pluck what you want off the belt as it rolls by.

This reminds me: Jiro dreams of sushi? Charming movie and I am intrigued by the place. Hannah + Del, you should go eat there and report back.

Planning on it! Never really had much inclination to visit Japan, but now we're gonna go just to eat there. :D

Over here it's mostly shitty all-you-can-eat buffets run by Chinese people. It generally tastes pretty bad, even if that's what you can expect from going to such a place. I try to avoid them. Can't afford good sushi places :/

Love sushi! I'm not fond of eel and I won't eat cephalopods. Other than that, yum!

Additionally: deep-fried dragon roll is the best goddamn sushi I've ever had in my life.

That place is cheap, but I thought it was pretty gross. :X

But I live on the Sea of Japan, so I'm kind of spoiled.

I will never eat sushi in the States again.

It's getting to the point where I don't even know the English names for most fish anymore. :(

I am not a fan of sushi by any means.
I tried to like it... but I simply can't.

I saw one of those places in 42434.

I've tried some sushi recently, it's not bad but not my thing. Probably going to be a once a year treat.
