I'm not even 20 years old and I've spent almost 7 years here. Isn't that weird? Like, everyone here is older than me. Oh my god I feel like a little kid. Like I need parental supervision. :|

How old are you? Are you older than most people here?

When I joined I was 18 and about average age for the time. Now I'm 29 and feel really old compared to most of the people here. Most of the people who were regulars when I joined aren't around anymore, so that's probably why.

I am 18, though I've been here (officially, repressing memories of EoFF 2007) since I was 17. I'd say I'm probably one of the youngest active members on here to be honest! The average age from my rough calculations is sort of like the early twenties, say 23 or 24.

I'm 18, but I feel older than what my stated age. :p

22. It feels like an average age but most of the people I end up talking to are older than me on here.

I'm 20, but 21 in two months. I feel young on here, and definitely think that sometimes being both young and a newbie stops me from being taken seriously at times.

You do need parental supervision. You're barely old enough to be out of diapers.

I am 25, and horrifyingly enough, I'm probably older than the average poster now. I registered when I was 12 (when the average age was probably 14-16), and I was younger than most people for a number of years. Now I practically have one foot in the grave.

25 at the end of May. I forget that I'm still 24 sometimes (as in when someone asks my age I have to think for a second)

And I've been here for 12 years. I was 12 (almost 13) when I joined. I was young then, but now I feel kinda average or old. I guess a bunch of people younger than me have joined since I did. who'da thunk it

I'm not surprised, I have the mindset where I assume everyone is older than me here.
If someone came along that was younger than me... that'd mess everything up.

I've noticed this happening for the first time this year. I'm 25, but I have actually forgotten that a couple times. I've had to remind myself that I'm not 24 anymore.

I'm 29.

I don't feel old here or on Twitter anymore because I started hanging out on Tumblr and the median age there is about 15.

Let me tell you, it's really weird to find someone who shares a bunch of your interests and who you talk to a lot and then find out that you are literally over twice their age.

I'm 29 but I don't really feel any different than I did when I was 21. Once I hit that age, I guess I had kind of developed 90% of my current personality so from there nothing much was going to change. I don't really 'feel' any age at all, to be honest. I just 'am'.

Also, 29 is pretty young, really, when you consider the fact that I'm going to live forever.

I'm kinda like that too. I usually don't really understand people my own age.
Outside of my family and girlfriend, the person I have the most fruitful conversations with on a day-to-day basis is 58.

I joined here just about a month shy of my 12th birthday (my join month has been wrong forever), all the way back when the Backstreet Boy's Millenium album had a still-relevant title, so I'm looking at way-too-long-of-a-time being here. But you know what? Eff it.

Because toni(iiiiii)ght, we are young.

I am the exact opposite. The only people who I have ever been close to have all been at least a couple of years younger than me. Often even younger than that.

I don't "get" most people my age and older. My general interests align more with people in their early to mid 20s. (Or younger :p )

I am 23. On here I don't really think about age. I prefer to believe there is no age on here, just time spent here.

At work I also don't really think about age. Half the people that I outrank and that I mentor on a daily basis are older than me. And those who aren't all seem like babies.

Age is weird.

I generally align myself with those that are more mature and/or older. In my sixth form, there's the first years, second years and third year students, and in my second year I mingle with the third years (and in my first years, the two above). I'm not entirely sure why, because I have many friends in the same year I am as well, but I don't know. Maturity matters with me, though it's not a defining factor because I do enjoy hanging out with my 'siller' friends.

Hell, indulging in silly banter is partly why I'm on here.

Maturity matters with me, though it's not a defining factor because I do enjoy hanging out with my 'siller' friends.

For me it's not a matter of maturity, it's a matter of interests. Gaming is my primary interest and I was born at a time that was sort the cusp of gaming being a big thing. While a great many people my age certainly grew up with gaming like I did, many other people my age did not. Furthermore, as more people my age do things like get married, have kids, get houses and real jobs, and basically all the things that I'm not doing, they tend to put hobbies like gaming on the backburner.

It's still a major interest for me, and it's more likely to still be a major interest for those younger than me than those older than me. Thus, most of my friends are younger than I am.
