When was the last time you played this magical game, EoFF? Are you good at it?

...I'm not. I am terrible at Tetris.

I always play it on planes cause they have it available on the little media center things. By the end of the 25 hours worth of flying to America I was a God!

man, I'm jealous. The planes I fly on just have like 30 minutes of free DirecTV and then it shuts off if you don't pay.

Maybe you should fly from Perth to LA and cut out like 10 hours then :colbert:

I play Grown-Up Tetris.

Which is to say that I load the dishwasher a lot.

(I haven't played the actual game in forever. I should get it on my phone.)

Hand washing is basically like playing Mode A on Tetris and setting your starting level to 10.

Then stacking them in the dish drainer is like Jenga.

I'm assuming Tetris helps with PTSD because any time anything traumatic happens to you, you can go to your safe place, which is the Tetris them over and over...

That's incredibly interesting. I live with PTSD and Panic Disorder and I find Tetris to be a total double edged sword. On one hand, Tetris absorbs me completely and the constant need to react, plan, etc. lets me lose myself from the stresses of the day (or of the situation if I'm on my phone and in a social situation I'd rather not be in). On the other hand, my mother was a huge fan of Tetris and so it also reminds me of her. (My mother is the cause of a lot of my traumatic experiences.)

That's a totally unique situation though. I found the Bejeweled works wonders for me since there's no connection to my biological mother but has the same relaxing factors as Tetris.

If I can't calm myself with cognitive behavioral therapy (mostly self-orientation based exercises) I totally turn to games like this.

It's because if you play Tetris before the traumatic incident has much of a chance to form memories, then you wind up with fewer of those traumatic memories.

That's the theory, anyway!

I used to be good at Tetris. I probably suck now. Great game though.
