Square Enix have recently revealed that they will be releasing some funky remastered versions of the soundtracks to the Final Fantasy games. First on the agenda is the popular Final Fantasy IV which boasts an amazing array of fan-favourite tunes like Theme of Love and The Red Wings.

These remasters will be available to buy in Japan on July 3rd, but there has been little discussion about them moving over to other areas, much to the disappointment of many fans. Of course, the hardcores will no doubt just have them shipped from an importer. The remasters may also be made digitally available if they prove to be popular (which I've no doubt they will!) especially considering that Yoshitaka Amano is providing some pretty spiffing artwork for the cover!
If you're after any other soundtracks, you can be happy in knowing that the Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI remasters are due for release later in the year, and I've no worries that the later installments of the series will be quick to follow.
