Yep, that's right you Kingdom Hearts lovers - it has just been confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be released in September. Are you excited? Are you counting down those days?

It will be hitting Europe on September 13th and is available to pre-order now! You're in for a bargain too as they're giving out some limited edition art books from selected retailers with pre-orders of the highly anticipated game. If you're in the USA, you can expect to see the game up for purchase at an earlier date... September 10th!

The compilation of the games will feature both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, as well as Kingdom Hearts Re:/Chain of Memories, and the HD scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Day. This is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and will also feature trophies. I can't think of any reason to NOT buy this game when it comes out!

Yeah 358/2 Days was a DS title made for the DS engine. So they'd basically have to rebuild it from the ground up which is likely not worth the investment for something that can just be conveyed via upscaling the story segments of the game.

That and the gameplay of 358/2 Days wasn't particularly great in the first place either.

Because of the dual screen system and Kingdom Hearts 2 is not included.

The 2.5 HD ReMIX will most likely be Final Mix 2, Birth by Sleep Final Mix and the scenes from Re: Coded.

My friend was so excited for this that he decided to order the Japanese version. PS3's aren't region-locked! We serve a living God!


KH1.5's oldness (gameplay-wise) is palpable, but what can you expect? Still, it's the workhorse of the ReMiX and it is worth the buy if you want to relive the rush of emotions that is the Night of Fate (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9gyl6w0lFE), or go through Hollow Bastion with a wooden sword again (in HD.)

My friend also had a save file that let me experience the ultimate HD ass-whooping from the secret boss.


I've never cared for 358/2 days and I don't think I should, so I didn't bother with it. I'm sure the cut scenes are enjoyable though, and I can see why Squenix didn't leave the gameplay in.

I wasn't a fan of CoM on the GBA either but it is nice to see this game in 3D!
