We all have a song we wished we could play, but we never learn it. Sounds familiar?

Mine must be Mykonos by the Fleet Foxes. Every time I hear it I want to learn how to play it on guitar. I've tried a couple times, but I'm just no good at finger picking.

Which song do you wish you could play? And for what instrument?

I love everything Fleet Foxes. They're amazing.

I can't play any instrument, unfortunately. All I can do is sing. :(

But this is my favourite song of all time, and my first Tori Amos song. I'd love to learn how to play the piano just to play this song.

There are many songs I wanted to play and I hope I can play it. One is Walkin' With The Bass from Barry Likumahua. Bass solos, drum solos and played the saxophone solo in this song is very good. As well as the genre of blues that makes this song has a lot of improvisation on any instrument player. I'm learning the bass of this song. And it's very complicated and sometimes frustrating me. If I have not learned the drums, because my drums are stored. My family says it disturbing the neighbors. And I wish I could play all the instruments. By the way genre blues was amazing :spin: haha :D

I wish I could do this (or at the very least just what happens at 3:18). (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIApYIhOhj0)

I've only just begun playing guitar, but I've always wanted to be able to play this, even though it's so simple. Brand New - Jesus Christ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjPyvoLXPs4).

I've always fantasized about playing Chopin's Rondo for 4 hands with only 2 hands.

I'd post a youtube video but all the versions you find on youtube are shitty. The Russians play Chopin the best.

Also when I was a kid I wanted to be Satch, Stu Hamm, or Jonathan Mover for this:

NkycSgx21nk

Especially that groove at like 3:13-3:50ish. I would play that part over and over and over and over and over.

And thirdly, the First Aid Kit cover of FF's Tiger Mountain Peasant Song inspired me to learn it myself (even though I'm no musician and can't sing), so yay. I'm not as fond of the cover as I was the first time I heard it but still. Here's Robin.

I can't decide. Both are pretty impressive feats of guitar.

Obviously the insanely long soloing and not the piss easy everything else. :p

Metallica's instrumentals, Anesthesia, Call of Ktulu and Orion. I can only play bits of them (bassist here) but there's parts where I just cannot get anywhere near the level skill needed to play them, that and the tone. Wow. Nowhere close.

It would be nice to be able to play a couple instruments, like the piano or violin; classical/orchestral music is the only kind I would actually like to play myself. Like, One Winged Angel or Beethoven's Symphony #5.

Here's a piece I recently found thanks to NASA that I think would be awesome to play too:

Playing air guitar is you know, pretending to play the guitar without actually holding a guitar. Like when you hear a badass guitar solo and you move your hands as if you were playing it... in the air. Doing so is a sign you'd wish to be as good as the guitar player you're actually hearing :p

There's two for me.

I'm very out of practice with piano, but I'd love to be able to play Transcendental Etude No. 4 (Mazeppa) by Liszt:

LQPX_r7ifZA

And since I'm a nerd, I wish I could play the Piano Collections version of Those Who Fight from FFVII:

ssGdJNe2PHE

Sightreading the sheet music itself isn't that hard. I just don't have much endurance anymore and most of the time, I'm too lazy to practice songs like that. I've mainly stuck to ballads for FF music (except Vamo Alla Flamenco, I guess). ;.;

For Those Who Fight on piano. And Sungha's River Flows in You on guitar.
