What is your favorite almond related thing to eat? Ever tried almond crusted chicken? It is out of this world.

Chris, for once in your life you've made a food suggestion that I might actually like to try. Almond chicken? Sounds tasty!

Almond everything. Cocoa roasted almonds? Hellz yeah.

My fav... probably sugared almonds, or jordan almonds - depending on where you're from!

But I also love Bakewell Tart, and anything which combines almonds with cherry/raspberry

That almond chicken looks different from any other almond chicken I've ever had. xD

Anyways I still claim that cashews are the superior nut but almonds are not bad.

I like almonds. And I'd probably enjoy a meal with almonds in it!

I don't like marzipan at all though. :(

Also, amaretto.

Can't drink amaretto. Tastes too much of marzipan. I get to miss out on some otherwise nice sounding cocktails. xD

I didn't like marzipan or princess cake until Rantz had me try some in Sweden. It was sooo good!

I don't like almonds, though. Pikey is correct that cashews are superior.

Bring me chocolate covered almonds and you will have my heart.

However, Chris, I have to applaud you on making a normal food thread for once!

Sometimes a friend from back home sends me these for Christmas, they are wonderful:

I prefer almonds with sweet foods, and cashews with savoury foods.

One word: Marzipan.

I... I don't think I have ever had marzipan.

Any ole bakery should be able to make it for you.

Shorty

Is it? I thought marzipan was the actual cake.

edit: yeah I'm an idiot. Still! Try princess cake, Pike!

Just don't worry about it, Pike. It's nasty anyways. Stick to what you know. Almond Flavored Mt. Dew or Cashew Crusted Frozen Pizza or whatever.

Is Marzipan really that rare an accomodation in the States? You can buy it in every grocery store here.

I know it's very common in Europe as a confectionary. (Marzipan) I bloody love the stuff. All the Christmas Cake please.

Ooh, you could make an Asian pizza! Like, chicken in cashew chicken sause, with bean sprouts, some sugar snap peas. Om nom nom nom.

I'm sensing that the next cook-off will be much more bizarre.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. If I run it, Originality will be 95% of the overall score. Or I might just put my Coconut-Almond Tofu Turducken in the running.

Haha, oh shit. You think I didn't think of that though? If you could zoom in, though, you'd see that my house is encrusted with tasty almonds. It's like a gingerbread house, but with nuts.
