So what is your favourite Disney movie as a kid? Is it still your favourite? Do you still go to new Disney movies in theatres as they come out?

My favourite as a kid was Cinderella which I watched obsessively and it drove my mother insane!

I'd have to say that Mulan is pretty much my top one, followed closely by The Lion King and Aladdin.

My friends and I still go see them when they come out. We're huge geeks like that!

Everyone loves their Mickey Mouse ears! Iconic yet whimsical, just like the Cunning Cap Party!

Alice in Wonderland has always been my favorite. I like The Little Mermaid and I love love loved Robin Hood. The Sword in the Stone is pretty great, too.

So many to choose from ;-; Honorable mentions to both of The Rescuers movies!

You know, if you cropped that image, and put some hearts, that'd be the perfect image for The Fluffly Pink Party, fyi.

Thank you for the advice but sadly, I do not really have any photo editing programs anymore. But if someone is willing to do such a favour, I would not oppose it.

Speaking of Disney, when Beauty and the Beast in 3D came to theatres, I went with some friends and kept whispering "Stockholm Syndrome" throughout the film. They laughed, mostly. Some were a bit chagrined.

Everyone always mentions the Stockholm Syndrome, but they forget about the blatant bestiality.

Yeah, that's the thing about Disney: when you rewatch some of the movies when you are older you really start to wonder. As a kid, you do not really recognize the plot holes, or weird happenings. Someone once told me in a media class they discussed how Scar fulfilled the trope of a homosexual villain, which is sorta interesting. Part of me is like WTF? Reading way too much into it. The other part of me is like...Oh Disney...:/

Homosexual? I... don't how that could have been derived from his character, lines, or behavior.

There was a period of time when I was a child where I would watch Lion King several times a day and could recite the entire script from memory.

I could somewhat see it in his languid movements (that perhaps could be interpreted as feminine) and dramatic personality. But that is really applying stereotypes and I think going a bit too deeply into things.

I think so as well. If anything, Scar was intimidating as trout.

I mean, there would be nothing wrong with it if he was. I'm just failing to see how one could draw a connection between him and homosexuality. That would be like saying Jafar was a homosexual, because to me, Scar always seemed to be essentially the lion version of Jafar.

I didn't find Scar that intimidating really. Entertaining, yes. But I am weird like that. Jafar was a creeper though. Seriously creeper. Poor Jasmine. :(

Ha I probably would if I had the money bar the modern 3D ones like Chicken Little. I also heard that the recent Blu Ray editions are not that great as well. :|
