PART I: THE CAMPAIGN

THE SETTING
Sean F. Kennedy, President of the Unites states of EyesonFF, our president, has been shot and killed. Assassinated, if you will. Any truly concerned EoFFer would ask, "Whodunit?!" I'll answer you, good citizens. It was none other than the treasonous villain himself, Bleys Harvey Oswald.

Sean, loved and revered by all, founded our glorious domain and as such he came into his role as president without much ado. However, towards the end of his all-too-short life, he declared that in his absence, EyesonFF needed to select their leaders democratically.

Although his death was emotionally charged with spammer and moderator alike, many speculate this as the leading reason for the chaos that broke out following his demise. Gangs began to form, calling themselves parties, each one declaring their own group to be the destined leaders to bring Eyeson the glorious future it was looking for.

THE SITUATION
It is up to you, Eyes on Final Fantasy. You good people will decide who our next president and reigning party will be. Who will make it to the top? Who will fall from glory? Who will be lost to the rat race, forgotten in the dust behind everyone else? You will decide who is worthy of leadership among these times of turmoil and despair as we mourn for our beloved leader, Sean F. Kennedy, god rest his soul.

For the candidates, this will not be all fun and games. This will be a test of morale, a test of loyalty, a test of your intentions. You will be pushed to your breaking point, all before the eyes of the scrutinizing public. These are politics, people. Are you worthy enough? Do you have what it takes? Can you dig it?

THE TASKS
Tasks will be issued often and when you least expect them. Depending on how you complete your tasks, you may earn campaign funds in the amount of gil for your party. Sometimes these gil amounts will be disclosed beforehand, sometimes they may not. A campaign needs funding, does it not? The purpose of gil will be disclosed at a time later than now. Remember! Your performances will be observed by the public. How well you complete these tasks will determine whether or not folks want to vote for your party.

New party tasks for Part I will be updated in this thread. The first task for your party is listed below.

Eyes on FF Final Fantasy Cast Task:
In theme with the threads popping up around the forums early this year, you are to assume a Final Fantasy alias. Everyone in the party must do this. The more obscurely mis-matched your aliases from the different games are, the better. Post in this thread to call dibs on your character! Once someone has chosen an alias, it cannot be chosen by another person.

Rules:
- If your character opposes another character in one of the Final Fantasy games, start a fight with the member who has that alias.
- If your character has no opposing characters, start a fight with someone anyway. Double-teaming is acceptable, even encouraged.

If you have any questions, you may direct them to my special filing cabinet, which can be found in the closest trashcan in your vicinity.

4. Devise an elaborate theory implicating a member (or members) of EoFF as Sean F. Kennedy's assassin that is so stupid and far-fetched that it just might be true. Bleys Harvey Oswald was clearly a scapegoat. Who was behind this operation? Who were the other shooters? We need to know.
5. PM your answers to Election Booth.

Each of the five forum representatives will need to complete the following:
1) create two threads in the upper social forums
2) create two threads in the lower FF forums.
3) make fives posts in both the upper social forums and the lower FF forums (so five threads each, totaling ten).

Once you have completed this task, post your post links in this thread.

You have until 6:00pm on Sunday, 5/26 to complete these tasks.

You must raise gil in order to support your party and keep it running. Throughout this election, you will have opportunities presented to you in order to gain gil. Currency is the life-blood of society. Anyone who tells you any differently is lying to you and to themselves. These campaigns need funds, people!

The more gil you have, the more tasks you can unlock for your party to complete, allowing you to obtain even more gil and for the public to judge your progress as a party. The amount of gil you have will not affect whether or not your party makes it to the next round, but it will affect how well your party appears to be doing from an economic standpoint and whether or not you have what it takes to represent the nation of Eyes on FF. As Election Booth, I reserve the right to issue extra spontaneous gil for impressive creativity or an over-the-top job put into an answer session or task.

After the first round of voting, I will disclose how much gil each party has obtained from their task completion. There will be tasks you may choose to "buy" with your gil, or you may make a donation to an EoFF-Approved Non-Profit Organizational Charity, which in itself may hold more rewards for you down the road. Or if you want to hoard all your gil and use it for naught, you have that option as well.

Which will you choose? Which option reflects your party and its core values? You'll need to take a look through your funds after I disclose the amounts. The presidents will also be issued a task via mognet that can help their parties obtain gil or lose gil based on the decisions they make.

This will all be revealed tomorrow after I receive the last completion PMs.

Don't even dare to begin these tasks yet or else. One of each will randomly be assigned to a party, and the party with the highest vote count of this round will get to choose theirs. Which task would you want to complete?

The Ace Party:
Find a FF related thread at least 5 years old with at least 100 posts and at least 3 people getting rep.

The Cunning Cap Party:
The party of choice needs to drop the GF codependency for Draw and encounter whichever party they consider to be the biggest threat against them. Select up to three Final Fantasy VIII magic spells for each respective member which you could draw from their personalities to better yourself with stat boosts.

The First Fascist Party:
Tell us all your secrets.

The Fluffy Pink Party:
Make a collage of all the FF things that are pink and another of all the FF things that are purple. Tell us which one is best and why.

The Newbie Party:
Pick a scene from any Final Fantasy game and have some of your party members record a rendition of it. Nothing too long, and the zanier the better!


SECTION FOUR: Elaborate Theory
The original task:


Devise an elaborate theory implicating a member (or members) of EoFF as Sean F. Kennedy's assassin that is so stupid and far-fetched that it just might be true. Bleys Harvey Oswald was clearly a scapegoat. Who was behind this operation? Who were the other shooters? We need to know.

Which theory do you find to be the most sound, most structured or most absurd?

Clearly there's only one real person who wanted Cid dead. It would be all to easy to suspect the power of Psychotic's madness and the greed of BoB. In fact that is what the real conspirators want us to believe that one of these would do it.

However I produce the most startling shocking evidence that it was none other than that harlot Lockharted who has plotted assasination, with her lackey happynoodleboy to assist her.

The reasons for this? Because Cid was opposed to her plans to open a new sector of EoFF dedicated to her love of Scatology. She wanted to roll in so much brown it would make what happened to the insidious Del Murder look like a mere smear on the bottom of a toilet bowl.

What happened to put me on to the truth at the heart of it all? I was approached by Del. He tried to co-erce me to make me dance upon his puppet strings except I'm not a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, I am a beast waiting to slaughter. After pumping him for this information I showed him the true meaning of power.

Let this be a lesson to conspirators there is a light shining in the darkness coming for you.

"Well, I've spoken to the first person to arrive at the scene - Nicholas Cage. "No, I'm Christopher Walken! And I have a fever!" "Dude, none of us are buying that, Nick. You're always Nick. You can't act. Go away." said Bruno Mars, who had recently arrived from Mars. Which is naturally where he lives. Bruno Mars then ran into a wall shouting something about a lava lamp. Unfortunately the impact gave him a concussion, so Dr Unne arrived and picked him up and dropped him again, then walked away muttering something about having no time for this trout. "But don't you see?" said Peegee. "It was Coolhowi... but he may not be who you think he is." Bleys raised an eyebrow. He knew the rumours - Coolhowi was a bot. Everyone knows a bot from their ability to let people know what songs they like most from the Final Fantasy series. "I don't see what that has to do with anythi--" "IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING!!!" interjected Peegee, flailing his arms wildly. Unfortunately at that point things took a turn for the worse.They were invaded by German Daleks. "EXTERMINIEREN!!!" they shouted, shooting the dead Cheeky Girls who happened to be lying next to Sean Robinson - God knows what those three had been up to. Luckily, help was soon on hand. A huge red laser shot through the Dalek line, and forced them to retreat. It was none other than Cyclops from the X-Men, riding Big Daddy from Bioshock. Not actually Big Daddy from BioShock... Cyclops had a Shoopuf that was named Big Daddy from BioShock. Big Daddy from BioShock also was wearing a giant Cyclops-styled visor and shooting lasers. He wore many hats, too. All kinds. Anyway, Cyclops was weilding the Fishbone of Doom, the final key to destroying the Daleks once and for all. "Ho ho ho, Green Giant!" yelled out Cyclops, smiling down upon Bleys and Peegee fondly. Bleys and Peegee did a little dance with each other and then waved back. "How can we thank you, Cyclops? That was really lucky. I mean, where did you even come from?" "Southampton!" replied Cyclops. "My trusty steed got me here in time. I'll return via airship, though... I have to go overseas and BigDaddy from BioShock saw some Lava Lamps and he loves eating Lava Lamps." Bleys looked around, and then pulled something out of his pants. "Here, take this. It's my stuffed Moomon." "A stuffed Mormon!?" cried Cyclops. "No..." Bleys looked down, clearly disappointed that he hadn't considered bringing a stuffed Mormon with him. "...it's just a stuffed Moomon." "Well, I'll take it!" With that, Cyclops jumped into his airship, which was piloted by a three legged Unicorn named Roger. "By the way," he shouted as the airship departed, "I heard a rumour that Roogle really wanted those Distant Worlds tickets, it's a shame you didn't offer it to staffers. He was really gutted." And then Peegee knew. He knew he was right. "I KNEW I WAS RIGHT!" he exclaimed, shocking Bleys to the floor. "Ever since I got here on my miniature chocobo!" "You have a miniature chocobo?" "Yeah, your ride has to be really really small if you want to get out of the inside of a teapot." Bleys nodded. It was true. Living inside a regular sized teapot had serious downsides, and he can only imagine how tricky it must be to find a vehicle capable of exiting one. "So, what do you know? Go on, let's hear it." "Well! Roogle is Coolhowi, because he really wanted those Distant Worlds tickets so he registered under another name. But Sean found out, so Roogle hired the Cheeky Girls to have a threesome with Sean. Roogle, like everyone out there, knew that Sean has an eclair after sex... but what if the eclair was poison? Well, that would be ridiculous, but what if the eclair was filled with Vagisil!? Exactly. And Sean's allergic to Vagisil. When the Cheeky Girls smothered his eclair all over his face (that's how he likes it), Roogle knew that the cause of death would obviously lead to him, so instead he beat him to death with a surprisingly cold thermos, intending to hide any other cause of death." Bleys gave him a long, cold stare and took the sweetcorn back. "Well, I suppose it does match up with Roogle's fingerprints being all over the suprisingly cold thermos... but that could just be a coincidence." "No, no, Bleys." Peegee lit up a plastic katana and smoked it slowly. "I think you'll find Roogle drinks his whiskey hot." Peegee left the crimescene, walking into the sunrise. PART II: WAGIN' WAR


THE ROUND
This round will be much more labor-intensive than the past. Will your party be left in the dust and forgotten like so many other parties of the past? Many tasks will be issued this round, but with the amount of members in each party, you should find no difficulty completing them if you pull together and work out a strategy. Party representatives will be running for the election of the forum categories they are assigned to later in this round.

THE SITUATION
THAT DASTARDLY BLEYS HAS DONE IT AGAIN! The man has been shouting obscenities and claiming that weapons of mass destruction have been buried somewhere in The Land of Exdee and that PG Bin Laden means to terrorize the great nation of Eyes on Final Fantasy! Who's to know if these rumors are for certain or not? As the leading EoFF party, what will your course of action be? Will you ignore these possible threats? Will you execute Bleys as a treasonous villain? Will you investigate the rumors? Will you dedicate a manhunt to taking down PG Bin Laden? We good people of EoFF need answers!

THE TASKS
1) Draw a map of EoFF and to include a minimum of seven forums as "countries". A bonus 200 gil will be issued if each and every currently active sub-forum is used, and 50 gil will be issued for every inactive sub-forum included. Additionally, come up with a name for each of the current parties' "capitals" in one of the forum-countries (ie, The Gooey Gumdrop Party's capital is Gyshal Greens Fields in the FFIV forum country). Want to color it in? Want to add a key? Want to add illustrations and whatever else to your heart's desire? Go for it!

2) Come up with a war strategy to take out another party who is named to be the WMD offenders and tell us why they need to be taken out. Will you ally with another party? Or more? Will you nuke the trout out of something or someone? Will you send a Blackhawk in there with a dozen super-trained special forces ops to take out key personnel? Do you have war intelligence and battle technology the rest of the world hasn't yet dreamed of? Have you discovered some nutso sleuth conspiracy operation forged by Bleys and PG Bin Laden revealing that they are in kahootz to bring down this great nation and start a war in order to drill for Mako energy? Tell us a story, morning glory. Give us your most crazy, farfetched, ridiculous plan. The best and most crazy, absurd, ridiculous backstory and strategy will receive an additional 500 gil.

3) PM your completed tasks to Election Booth. You are welcome to discuss your plans openly in your thread to encourage discussion and participation, but PM your results once finished. These are team-oriented tasks, so work together in order to produce the greatest masterpiece!

PART II TASKS, PART II


Parties will be issued several new tasks for Part II of this election starting right meow. Fear not! As mentioned at the beginning of round two, with enough participation between each of your party members, you should be able to complete these easy peasy lemon squeezy.

1. Find a theme song for your party. Change the lyrics of said song (any song you like) to be about your presidential candidate, your party, the elections, and any related topics. A link to the existing song would be nice, and BONUS POINTS! for a voice file of someone singing it!

2. Each member is charged with the task of posting a recent, never-before-posted embarrassing photo of themselves. The more photos posted, the more points you will earn for your party.

3. Post a vocal clip of you explaining which Final Fantasy is your favorite and why. Clips that reach over one minute thirty seconds (1:30) will receive an additional 300 gil.

4. Create either a) a comic strip or b) an PS Paint picture revealing to the world why your party is the greatest and why your leader deserves to be president of EoFF - Stripgenerator.com - Create a new strip (http://stripgenerator.com/strip/create).

5. Draw a picture of your mascot putting hulk hogan in a headlock.

There may be an opportunity for Round II immunity for a single party who completes all of these tasks to the T. If everyone does it, we'll have a Thunderdome. I don't know. Work for it, people!



UTILIZING YOUR GIL

Your party has three choices with what to do with your accumulative party gil at this time.

1) Hoard your gil. More money, more power! The wealthier you are, the more appeal you have. You know what you're doing and you know how to bring in money.
2) Donate all or a portion of your gil to the Gyshal Greens Charity for Homeless Chocobos. Remember, people love donations when it comes to politics. The more charitable you appear, the more it may work in your favor later.
3) You may purchase another secret task to complete. You will not know the task until you choose this option. The rewards may be greater than that of gold.

Since these tasks are a little more heavy-handed and involved, you will have a week for completion. Please have them completed by June 19th, 11:00PM PST.

General Forums Representatives
In detail, please create a battle plan about the great war between General Chat and EoEo. Pick a leader, a lieutenant and a special forces squad for each side, what thread topic would send these forums into war with eachother and how it would end. Let's get creative now!

What influences of general media and modernism do you find or have you noticed in Final Fantasy games? It can be any game from any time period.


Gaming Representatives
State your case for you who think is the greatest non-FF protagonist and non-FF antagonist and why. They do not have to be from the same game. What do these characters have in common with eachother, what about their stories do you admire and what makes them great?

Think of something absolutely absurd that you would like to see worked into a game. It could be anything - storywise, battle-wise, aesthetics-wise, character-wise. What is something great and borderline far-fetched you would like to see find its way into a game someday and how would the game benefit from doing this?


Final Fantasy: Old School Representatives
Create a dream party of five (FFIV-style) featuring characters from these games and explain why you chose them. Assign an EoFFer (past or presently active) to each of the characters you think they are most alike and explain why.

Would you like to see any of these games remade? Would it destroy them or is there a chance they could be made better? Is there anything more you hoped for from the game(s) when you first played them? Could improvements be made as far as aethetics go, or would you prefer to retain nostalgia with how they are now than to modernize them?


Final Fantasy: Golden Age Representatives
Please write a micro love story of epic proportions exchanging Cuchulainn in place of Cloud and Quint Eastwood in place of Aeris. Include a) an important event from one other Final Fantasy game and a) a famous movie plot twist to add to your story. It's okay to mix up details or throw a few extra things in here and there. Get as creative as possible.

How do you think FFVIII would have fared if the characters were all sparkly vampires? How would this affect Garden, SeeD, their missions and the sorceresses? Would it make the game better or worse?


Final Fantasy: Modern Era
Who is the most sexually attractive character, NPC, boss, etc. in these games? Please provide an explanation and an image of them in a sexy pose. Bonus points will be issued if you include yourself in the drawing.

What new feature (or features) would you add to FFXIV? What traditional FF elements would you remove? What would you like to see done that has never before been done with a previous Final Fantasy?

TRAGEDY STRIKES

Since our last update, ladies and gentlemen, the world has truly shattered into a million pieces that appear much too small to put back together again. Amid the catastrophe of our very own Sean F. Kennedy having been maliciously assassinated by an outside party, there has been talk and fear of war-mongering and WMDs and deceit and lies and scandals and members clawing at eachothers' throats in order to climb over the rat race to take Sean's position as president of this forum. I wish I could say that was the worst of our current situation.

On the day of Sean F. Kennedy's funeral in which hundreds of EoFFers flocked to show true support of our beloved president and to wish him well into the next life, a tragedy like no other struck. No one could have anticipated something like this would have ever hit our beloved forums. How could they? Who would have imagined that the winner of the 2013 Scariest Member award would actually go and do something so... scary?

It's no secret that Chris is a sinister, unpropitious character and a- well, a questionable member at best, but what may come as a shock to you is that this man is an infamous underground witch doctor who specializes in working with animal parts to cast spells and curses upon land and people alike (information courtesy of Rob Roy). This man cooked up his witchy witch doctor black magic and cast Zombie :zombie: on our poor, beloved Sean F. Kennedy's body in the middle of the beautiful eulogy Del Murder had written honoring our deceased leader! Needless to say, as such can be derived from the revelation of the involvement of Scariest Member, Sean's body went on a murderous, bloodthirsty rampage, snagging and tearing at any member within the vicinity of his decomposing arms, unfortunately resulting in the pall-bearing members as the first members to succumb to the hands of Sean as he arose.

Our hearts go out to Goldenboko, Vivi22, Mister Adequate and Pantz, who were the first unfortunate casualties in this tragedy of a lifetime as a result of standing too near to the body once it reanimated (Admins don't like doing heavy-lifting, even during funerals, and thus managed to flee to safety). Additionally, we'd like to take this moment to honor the other members who either lost their lives during this terrifying event or who are still out there, feasting on the limbs and bodies of their fellow members:

In addition to the folks listed above, dozens of unidentifiable members who were simply either so dismembered or shredded apart by the claws of wandering infected corpses that they were impossible to recognize or were tragically trampled to death by the crowd moving to get away from the walkers were found in the streets after the living masses had cleared. (A leg of Happy Noodle Boy was found. Unfortunately, the rest of his body was not.) To those members we lost, we wish you rest in peace. The streets ran red with the blood of Eyeson members that day, and the blood is still running with the remaining walkers in the streets even now.

You may not be surprised to find that in addition to the WMD scare with PG Bin Laden (WMDs that were... never... found... for some reason), that dastardly Bleys Harvey Oswald is behind this plague upon Eyes on Final Fantasy as well! Will this man stop at nothing to destroy the integrity of these forums?

These so-called parties we had step up for the Elections at the start have all but dispersed. Some of those who intended to run for office and step up as leaders in these trying times have abandoned their posts and fled to the safety of their cabins in the woods, barring themselves behind boarded doors and remaining hidden in the illusion of safety among boxes of shotgun shells. Our map represents the great continent of Eyesoneros. A continent that hosts thirteen seperate countries. In the northern half are three countries, and the rest are in the southern half. The Ace Party are headquartered in Drunkendale of General Chat, the Newbie Party are headquartered in Newbie City of Wonder Square, the Cunning Cap Party are headquartered in Cap's Cunning of The Lounge, the Fluffy Pink Party are in Cook-offington of Quina's Kitchen, newly separated from Eyes on Each Other, and the terrorists formerly known as the First Fascist Party are hiding out in MAPS City of Secrets.

The country of Secrets are mostly kept out from the rest of the continent by the Great Wall of EoEO, a giant wall built from Eyes on Each Other, to keep the wild Secrets from spilling into the rest of Eyesoneros. As of recently, Quina's Kitchen had just split from Eyes on Each Other, and are rumoured to be hosting Eyesonero's ruthless terrorists from Secrets. The Ace Party, being all-righteous and what not, have declared war on Secrets and Fluffy Pink because of the danger the two pose on Eyesoneros. With the help from the Newbies of Wonder Square, and the Cunning Caps from The Lounge, the trio of good waged a war on Secrets and Quina's Kitchen.

Eyes on Each Other was immediately captured by the Fluffy Pink and Secrets, and General Gaming joined the Good Trio. Neither, however, joined the fighting, but battles sometimes took place within their borders. The Ace army marched northward from their headquarters in General Chat. They were joined by their allies, the Cunning Caps from The Lounge, and the Newbies. Their first task in this war is to capture Quina's Kitchen, with the Navy from both Ace and the Cunning Caps holding the bay from the Fluffy Pink in the east.

When Quina's Kitchen is finally captured, the Good Trio finally moved further north into Secrets. The Newbies' Navy finally joins and takes the Fascists from the West while the Ace and Cunning Caps take from the East. The armies from the three parties marched through Eyes on Each Other to the Great Wall of EoEO along the northwestern shore. Passing the Great Wall proved dangerous, but they managed and made it into Secrets territory. From there, they attacked the First Fascists' hideout in Secrets, where it's also been rumored that they are hiding WMDs to use against the southern half of Eyesoneros.

The dotted lines on the map should show the movements of the Ace Party and its allies, and should be easy to follow along on the map below.

1. If we are to do an alliance, we should do an alliance with The Cunning Cap Party. Ace Party probably our only real opposition, and they are only ahead by a little if at all. That alliance would tip things into our favor, allowing is to go above Ace Party. We would then probably have little problem with the Cunning Caps, I'd think, as they don't pose that much of a threat. In this alliance, we would of course be at battle with the Ace Party.

2. Reasoning: They claim at the creation of their party that they aim to be like Cid. I believe when they say they aim to be like Cid, they may aim to actually be like Cid to the extent that they are going to create they're own fan website (nation). This whole thing is a ruse to where they begin destroying this land as a means to create a mass exodus to their own place where they will have total control to do what they wish. They will then completely destroy EoFF. This must be stopped.


I'll leave this information for you to mull over before the presidential debate begins (shortly). In the mean time, if those of you reading could take some time to offer some words of grace to our fallen members, I'm sure they would appreciate it wherever they are now.
