So back when I was a wee lad and had to share a TV with my mom or grandmother, there was no changing the channel from ABC. From 1 PM to 4 PM, All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital. Naturally I did not go in for this girly crap.
...until I finally started to watch the shows.
There is a reason a lot of these programs lasted for decades. There is some intrinsic, super-addictive quality that other TV shows lack. It was powerful enough to make a 10-year-old boy look forward to a show about beautiful guys and beautiful girls being beautiful together.
Although in my defense, my favorite was General Hospital. It had a gangster in Sonny and a killer in Jason and stuff like that. So...so shut up.
Anyway, who here has watched some soaps? If so, which ones and what are your thoughts on them?
