The year is 2013. It's a time of great innovation and technological advancement. It's also a time of great conspiracy. Square Enix controls it's fans hopes with more power than the Government.
Today Square Enix and Eidos Montreal unveiled the next instalment in the Deus Ex series titled Deus Ex: The Fall. Set in 2027, the same yeah as Human Revolution, it is a direct continuation of the novel Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect.
If you're a Deus Ex fan then you've properly been cautiously awaiting news of a sequel. Perhaps your augmentations are feeling a bit old and dated or the looming threat of various shadow organisations still bothers you. Well, just like Adam Jensen, probably, you didn't ask for this next piece of information.
This isn't a PC/console sequel.
The game is a story driven Action-RPG and will be coming exclusively to iOS in episodic instalments, the first should be released later this summer for around $6.99/£4.99/5.99€
We are back in 2027 -- a golden era for science, technology and human augmentation, but also a time of great social divide and global conspiracy. Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent physical augmentation, is desperate for the truth behind the drug conspiracy. Betrayed by his private military employers, the Tyrants, not only is his own life at risk, but for all augmented humans, time is running out...

All complaints aside the graphics look pretty slick for a mobile/tablet game and it looks like all the gameplay hallmarks of Human Revolution will be faithly realised in this portable format.
Possibly not the news some more devout fans of the series were hoping for. One could say this was the Orange to the vending machine's Lemon-Lime! But like Adam Jensen himself... never stop looking!
